Default Registering games?

I'm curious, has anyone here ever registered a game they've bought and actually won "cool stuff"? Or is it all some kinda marketing scam?

I never have and maybe I'm missing out on amazing free posters and coupons, ya know?

The only game I've ever registered is Galactic Civilization 2. It's the only (legal) way to receive updates for the game.

Only BioWare games for me - cause of the cool stuff it unlocks on their websites. (Like Jade Empire 'bloopers' and etc.)

I've registered my PS2 and gotten a free demo disc, if that counts.

I never register games because I'm a paranoid android.

I think the only game I ever registered was neverwinter nights because it was the only way to download the premium modules. I always hated the registration pester boxes on interplay games. "123".

I register my Nintendo games on Nintendo.com just in case there's a bonus I haven't heard about. I've received the GC Zelda bonus disc and a pink DS stylus (for registering Kirby Canvas Curse).

It was an interplay game with it's "forfeit cool stuff" button that made me question all of this in the first place.

I didn't register my NWN1, but I somehow tried that Witch's Wake module and it was pretty cool.
