Dammit. It's not as exciting as I thought.

Quote:
Wing Commander Arena is a fast-paced space combat game where players can team up to attack other teams of ships. The game introduces the classic franchise to an arcade-style experience that allows up to 16 players online in battle at once. Players can propel their customized ship through space, fire torpedoes and unleash deadly gravity bombs as they try to climb the leader board. Online players will compete for Frag count, high score and dueling stats.
"We're really excited to deliver unparalleled multi-player arcade action," said Chip Lange, EA Vice President. "The design for Wing Commander will appeal to both long-time fans of the franchise and immediately engage anyone who wants the melee style action of an arcade shooter."

Wing Commander Arena will feature four styles of play: single player, multi-team, multi-player free for all and multi-player duel. Within the game there are eight game maps that include team maps, free for all maps and dueling maps, so Wing Commander Arena offers a gameplay experience for every Arcade gamer, whether they want a quick ten minutes of action or a longer more immersive game.
I'd rather have a more story type Wing COmmander game.

Ah well.

McGee's Grimm: Artwork | Kotaku

Quote:
Love him or hate him, American McGee's finest hour was Alice. That game was great. So it stands to reason that if some concept art pics start turning up on his Flickr gallery that are based on fairy tales, and those collected by the Brothers Grimm in particular, you can go right ahead and presume they're for his mysterious Grimm project. And maybe even get just a little bit excited.

Yeah, this game may never see the light of day, but they sure are pretty.
More images.

Now that EA is going through their old catalogue, I wish they would re-release Syndicate and Bioforge.

PC NHL 95 would be pretty cool too, now there's a game that I'd play in Live Arcade if I ever had Gates' suXbox.

A friend of mine has got a friend whose granny said a new Duke Nukem game was in the making? A new Guns'N'Roses record as well!

Bless you and your thread idea Lucien. This baby isn't worthy of it's own thread:

Tomb Raider Anniversary trailer 2.

Featuring an in-game engine intro cutscene sequence that was FMV in the original game.

That's the only Tomb Raider game I've ever played (except for the demo of Legends), it was back in 97 I think :-)
Great game, I wonder why I never tried any of the sequels???

Well the sequels were very much worse than the first one.

I've always felt that TR franchise has so far had only three great games, Tomb Raider 1, Tomb Raider 4 and Tomb Raider: Legend.

Ron Gilbert is pitching a new game to publishers. I think I read this in an interview with him earlier this year or late last year.

Another no-brainer was that Gears of War was confirmed for PC at GDC.
