Not content with ressurecting Deus Ex with the upcoming 3rd game.

Looks like they might have Thief 4 on the way as well.

The best bits from The Insider article from issue 101 of PSM3.

- Eccentric Fahrenheit creator David Cage was working on a PS3 sequel to his obscure PC adventure game Omikron, but has been canned because the story wasn't up to scratch. Instead, he's working on a mystery game to go along side the stunning-looking Heavy Rain.

- Michael Ancel is rumoured to be working with Final Fantasy illustrator Yoshitaka Amano on a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil.

- Guitar Hero 4 is currently in the works and is said to feature The Undertones' classic Teenage Kicks.

- Superbad producer Judd Apatow is said to be working on a Leisure Suit Larry movie and will play Larry himself.

- Motion capture company are said to be working on a new game that will "define its own genre".

- Recently Swordfish Studios, the developers of the new 50 Cent game, said that they've been working on a secret FPS "based on a popular francise" for 15 months before being taken off the project by Vivenda. PSM3's guess it was Cold Winter 2.

- EA's Redwood Shores development company are said to be working on a new Simpsons game.

- Call Of Duty 5 is being developed by Treyarch and not Infinity Ward, but they spent a lot more time on it than they did for the third game, so expect it to be way better.

- Sony are rumoured be teaming up with Netflix. Apparently they'll let you stream movies through the PS3 - for a fee of course.

- Did you see the MGS4 Assassin's Creed internet spoof on April's Fool day. It's less than a joke than people think - it is, in fact, the first five minutes of the game but with Snake in the Altair outfit. What's the link? All will become clear when you play ... but there's a hidden Ubisoft logo in the game's end credits.

- Vin Diesel's Tigon Studios are working on some new games, including Secret Service which sees you work for the President security force and will feature input from Usual Suspects director Bryan Singer. The other is the real-life story of a violent NYC cop.

Haha, David Cage got canned from his own game sequel!? Well, I would have loved to have seen what he did to deserve that! It's one game I have been starving for more information on.

I found this tidbit of info over at <link removed> - the 2nd paragraph.

The really good news however is that Vivendi, Activision and LucasArts have left the ESA
Has anyone else seen this - and what does it mean??

I saw it. They're no longer members of the Entertainment Software Association, which is the organization that puts on the E3 show every year.

I'm also zapping your link. We don't allow links to Abandonware sites here (I also think his reasoning here is B.S. "This means that Abandonia can release classic titles from these companies that they couldn't release before.")

Those three companies left the Electronic Software Association which is a large managerie of affiliated developers and producers of games such as EA, Warner Bros., Majesco and the like. They are famed for their Electronic Entertainment Expo every year which has recently been downsized. The disaffiliation is significant because those three companies are large contributors to the market and represent a major part of Association. Apparently, Glenn from Glenn's Guides believes this is a good move. He may not be in favor of the E3 but most gamers I know appreciate the work the ESA has done to advance gamer privledges.

If they ever get around to making Red Dwarf into a game I hope they make it an adventure game and to a FPS or plateform game.

New Batman Game isn't based on "The Dark Knight".

http://www.slashgamer.com/2008/08/14...arkham-asylum/

Batman: Arkham Asylum looks to rip off the classic Grant Morrison comic which sees Batman trapped in Arkham with all his greatest enemies.

Lovely graphics (Killer Croc looks great).

This might be not bad.

Google Entering Game Industry Through Valve

This is from the Inquirer so take it with a grain of salt, but it would be interesting if it actually happens.

News this time: Nintendo makes more per employee than Google

Man, people in the gaming industry are underpaid

The planned revival of MOUL Myst Online URU Live has been put on HOLD by Cyan due to economic conditions. They promise to keep in touch with the community but have had to put the revival on hold for now. They assure that this is NOT a cancellation but a HOLD.
