Jeff Gertsman reportedly fired from Gamespot over a review
Oh man, if this is true, it goes to show how reliable these gaming websites are.

Not sure if this is and adventure game or not so I stuck it in here.
Auran Development, one of the country ’s biggest computer games developers, was placed into voluntary administration last week after its newest online multi-player game, Fury, failed to generate required sales revenue. Anyone play this? |

GameTap whic h has been hosting some classic games pulled 70 or so off their servers citing end of contract with companies like EA, much outcry as many of them were some of the best oldies that they had, maybe over time they will realize the value of being both a resource as well as a revenue stream. The senior staff did come on the forums and respond in person which was comendable and took considerable heat honourably, but the industry remains driven by the almight dollar i fear, much as the book and print publishing industry became some decade or more ago....
we can remain hopeful...this may have been covered by other posts, if so sorry but thought this was worthy of note, as GameTap is a new type of way of getting classics in play agian, and this was hopefully a lesson for them as well as for gamers and subscribers.

Duke is going to kick ass.
Excellent teaser trailer. Made me laugh quite a lot in a positive way, there's some good stuff at Shack about this. Gibs are back, oooohh yes.

Jim Ward is leaving LucasArts as president. He'll be gone from the company in two weeks.
It's for personal reasons All I know of LA is what I've heard on here, so I don't know much about their management. |

Bioware is producing a LOTR rpg, possibly, but not certainly a pick-up of The White Council that was put on a long hiatus. I liked what I saw before the hold and if Bioware is going to create it instead of an EA third rate studio, I feel better about it already.

Looks like Pandemic is making the LOTR game and Bioware is doing KOTOR 3.
