I got 1 as a gift 4 my b-day, so I'm using it 2 write this... :)

If anyone wants to they can send me their Wii #.

Mine was bough in the official Ninendo store, after waiting from 3AM to 9AM :) Though I wanted a PS3. After hooking up the net to the Wii, and playing mp3's, and charging my MP3 player, watching my photo's, and watching videos on Youtube... I'm VERY HAPPY. I know Xbox 360 & PS3 will have all the great point and click games :( To play them, I'll be forced to get a Xbox 360. < It some have more of the games I like, the easy ones :)

....unfortunately every time I think of the Wii, I think of that lady who died in that Hold Your Wee for a Wii contest at that stupid radio station and I probably always will.....some unfairly bad publicity for the Wii at work there.

I've given up on it, I'll wait until they relese the new version that has added DVD support and whatnot. I went clothes shiopping with my Wii money like a true gay. :)

Besides - a dvd player is like 20 bucks these days - your telling me you don't have one yet?

And before this turns into an arguement over whether Nintendo would eevr add a DVD player to the Wii, let me simply state - even if that did happen, there will NEVER be Wii games on DVD. No company has/would ever segment/punish their cosnumer base by releasing a fundamental media change. They would effectivly be alienating all the people who bought a Wii thus far.

Not going to happen.

So.. ya... just keep waiting.... (or simply go get a 20 dollar dvd player and don't rely on a game system to play all your bloody movies anyways)

Oh, and to stay on topic - I have a Wii too.. and I've created like 20 short fat bald Mii's to infect all Wii's who come into contact with mine. My friends wii's now have parades of short fat bald men running all over their public square...mwuahahahah.

Er... Wii games are on DVD already. Just because the machine doesn't playback DVD video (which requires, among other things, license fees) doesn't mean it doesn't use the disc format.

Yeah I have a lovely Sony DVD player... I wish Sony would just keep to those. lol. No worries guys, I'll just wait until a theres stock, which will be like FOREVER! :(

I don't think it is the same format. Nintendo has a history of making their own formats, to make the discs harder to pirate.
