Default Speedball 2 remake

Ah-hah, apparently somebody decided it would be about time to dig out another one of these 16bit classics: Speedball 2 - Brutal Deluxe (yay!), one of my favourite Amiga games. Heck, I just played it yesterday and it's still fun!

Website: http://www.speedball2.de/

Online play! Wooh! Does anybody know if the Bitmap Brothers are still around at all, and if so, if they are involved in this in any way? The concept art looks good so far, but then, it's only concept art. Heh.

They should put it on Xbox Live. It would do great business.

Wow, one of the greatest Amiga games ever gets a remake, this is enough to make me celebrate.

They closed a couple of years ago, I believe, so as a company they won't be involved with this.

No they haven't. It's been a while since they made a game but they have been involved in porting some console games to the PC like Dead to Rights.

Cool then.

Ice cream! Ice cream!

Yeah, yeah, bring it on! The website says they'll teach that old dog some new tricks apart from the online mode. Apparently you'll be able to pick your own player from certain "classes" like cyborgs and amazons and so on. We shall see...
