PC Games 2007 (this post rocks)
This is a thread on GameSpot where a guy listed all known upcoming PC games of 2007 with screenshots, including some good looking indie games. There's sections for each gametype, including Adventuregames. I bet he missed a few but the thread is great.

I haven't even heard of 90% of them. Lots of RPGs! All good.

It's a pretty random list, it seems. Filled with mostly pretty unremarkable games to me, but hey, it's always been that way. It's insane, in a way. Apparently it doesn't matter if a game is coming from a small development house, or the big behemoths, since both are doing pretty much the same thing. You'd imagine that especially the smaller studios would try everything they can to get your attention.
To do something DIFFERENT that actually makes them stand out of all the dozens of games that are sitting next to them, but.. nothing. It's like back in school. Everybody's scared chicken to be different. Take a closer look at each and every game filed under RPG in this list, for example. There is hardly a single game that stands out, since they pretty much all look the friggin' same. The exception proves the rule, as always. Meow! Hm, that new Clive Barker game might become interesting. Who's the developer and what has Barker to say in all of this this time?

[Not so] Strangely enough, the only titles that look interesting to me are many of the multiplatform ones - Bioshock, Portal, Team Fortress, Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, etc.

Wow, so much talent wasted on orcs, elves, space marines and WW2 soldiers.

^ Nothing wrong with these in and on themselves... unless you're one (orc) in a thousand.

Ah, I love these "games-to-be-released" posts. Unremarkable games? Well, OPF2 won't be unremarkable. Uninnovative? Maybe. But if they just renew the graphics of OPF, fix the bugs and release it as OPF2, I'll play it.
Also, Chrome2 looks awesome, so does Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Infinity sure is promising - if they get the gameplay right. |

Isn't the Pirates of the Carribean MMORPG also in the making?

OPF is Operation Flashpoint, an insanely difficult tactic shooter. |

I think there should be a sequel to Beyond Good & Evil, with Nelly Furtado's likeness as a slightly older and sexier Jade.

2007 looks like a good year for upgrades!
Although some of the best are multiplatform lots of them are still exclusive I mean: Supreme Commander Dragon Age Crysis and of course Spore! Also lots of adventure games. |

Aw, it's not that difficult. I mean, I was almost able to walk through almost the whole campaign without that much trouble this summer. And I came back to the game after more than three years in which I didn't play it. Nah, it's not hard, it just does a brilliant job at making you feel what being stuck in the middle of a war REALLY feels like. Er, I suppose it does. I don't plan to find out any time soon. Call Of Battlefield this ain't. Easily one of the best games I bought in the last five years...
... and there's still nothing quite like it out there.

wow, nice list that guy put a lot of effort into it...
i think out of those adventure games i really want to get vampyre story, Abbey, Simon4 and Cassius Pearl... if i get those 4 for next year i'll be happy and would have done well... i'm still currently battling with Keepsake... which probably wasn't my best re-investment in adventures since when the monkey island series ended years ago..... hopefully these 4 will be the ones to entertain me.. from what i've heard of them they will be GoT

Yeah, sorry, I just wanted to say that everyone used to have high hopes for Chrome as well (it's usually been mentioned alongside Doom 3, Half-Life 2, FarCry and, um, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. ), but it turned out rather crappy. That semi-sequel was supposedly somewhat better, though.

I must admit that the prospect of an Omikron 2 has me quite intruiged.
