Default I got Zelda Twilight Princess!

I recently bought Zelda Twilight Princess & the Prima Guide and now I have to stare at it for a month before I can get hold of a wii. Its such a pretty manual. Thats about it. lol. But now I won't have to worry about getting a game when I get the Wii.

I'm crazy I know.

I've got Twilight and a Wii. I F**king hate the game! I can't believe I spend £40 on it. Really, I want to sell the game but amazon won't let me grrrr.

You'll probably love it, but I find the game too derivitive of older installments, not enough unique ideas like The Wind Waker and too dark to get in it with the Western audience. I'm looking for someone in my part of the UK who would be willing to swap it for another Wii game.

P.S. Nintendo Wii Sports Rules.

Hehe. I still need to finish Wind Waker so I plan to play that on my Wii too. Don't know if I should bother playing Wind Waker first though. Would it make a difference?

I want to get Super Monkey Ball (wii) next.

Depends on whether you liked Ocarina of Time and would either like to play a second OT with Gamecube graphics, or would rather play a Zelda with Jet Set Radio Graphics.

I'm the kind of person who likes to see originality in games. I don't like repetition that well, not unless it's a multiplayer game e.g. Monkey Ball Wii.

I'm sure you'll like Twilight, as I've yet to speak to anyone who hasn't liked it other than myself. I'm just fussy I guess, but I wish I'd bought another multiplayer game instead.

I've made one hell of a rant on the Nintendo Europe forums as well.

When do you plan to get the Wii? I bit the bullet and bought one on Ebay for £300. A rip off yes, but I've already had enough fun to justify the money. I really didn't think I was gonna like the console that much, thought it was a gimmick, but I've been put wrong.

Also, do you read gamecentral on teletext? It's on Channnel 4 teletext page 305, they've got some interesting news on virtue console games in the UK having irregular quality. They're very good with reviews as well.

Well, Zelda isn't for everyone. I'm glad you found games which satisfy your tastes.

As a person who never played OoT, I'm enjoying the hell out of TP. It's a long friggin' game too. I'm over 20 hours into it and there is no end in sight.

On monkey ball, I traded my copy away to Gamestop 3 days after getting it. I just can't find falling off ledges ever 3 seconds fun. After 10 minutes of forcing myself to play it, I just wanted to smash that disc. The mini games are okay for mulitplayer but not better than the 2-3 A-list gamecube games I could buy for the same price as this game.

I will have to wait another month to even touch my Wii Wii.

Its sitting at home in Sydney and I'm stuck in Thailand.

So I understand your hurt Dasilva but at least you got something to touch

Lol. Yeah I touch the golden disk every night before going to bed. I thought it was a bit of a throwback from the gold cartridge back in the hayday.

TP is excellent, but I'm in the camp that loved Wind Wakers visuals, so I'm most definitely missing that feeling I got from Wind Waker. Consider too that I didn't play OoT, WW is really my most substantial memory of Zelda since NES.

Anyway, I feel your pain not having a Wii...well, I have a Wii, but I know how you feel.

oh and...

That's where you don't get what I mean. I loved the Ocarina of Time, and love The Wind Waker more. But now, I can't stand Nintendo churning out the same music, the same characters with the same 'Waaa!', 'Huh?!', 'Wallah wallah' voices and having to read the same text. I guess I have to thank the other countless RPGs I've played over the years for the feeling of Deja vo.

But at least with the next Mario, it's set in these interestingly stylish miniworlds that's out in the galexy, a far cry from Sunshine before, which in turn was miles different from Mario 64 before it.

There's moving on, remixing, reinventing and then there's building a change and then suddently 180degree turning backwards and going back to square one.

HOWEVER, according to the Teletext Gamecentral I mentioned earlier, they report that a US games mag reported that Nintendo has already been working on the next Zelda Wii title for over a year now, and it's going to be something 'different'. This is likely to be the Zelda I'll like.

I'm guessing you hated GTA:VC and SA just as much as me, then, I guess. It's pretty much the same thing.

I'll probably be the hypocrite when I buy Twilight Princess and love it to death.

I haven't even seen one Wii on sale here anywhere, but I've seen plenty of accessories and games. The Wii seems so rare yet.

My friend said that he has ordered Twilight Princess for Gamecube as he doesn't have the money for Wii, yet. I'm going to go check it out immediately when he gets the game.

The only thing that has bothered me so far in the game is the sumo thing...

It completely broke the sense of a fantasy world that Zelda always has...

It was like having Al Capone and his thugs in the Lord of the Rings...

Heh, I haven't played Zelda since the first three installments. Two on NES and one on SNES.

I didn't mind that bit, which is just as well, seeing as one has to do it three times.

The last time is slightly annoying though, but I won't give anything away.
