You're mixing Xbox and Xbox360. Besides, it has a three core processor, not three processors.

I know that (although that's not the case with all Celeron revisions), but it's still 3 times as fast as what is required to run the game. That should make up for it, but it doesn't.

Half-Life 2 runs just fine, for instance.

It's a pentium 3-celeron. That means that's it's far more similar to a pentium 3 than it is to a pentium 4-celeron.

It uses 3 power architecture cores, but AFAIK they can't process as many instruction per clock cycle as typical CPU cores.

Oh my gaaaaawd. It seems the PC version doesn't have any lighting or shadowing whatsoever, making it look worse than on the PS2, a black and white TV set and a ZX Spectrum combined. For the ultimate in horrors go here: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/adventure...062&pid=931851

Anybody supporting such incredibly lazy, cheapass ports by actually forking out cash and stuffing it down company's throats should be shot. Right here. Right now.

Looks pretty horrible, maybe I'll give it a try and compare it by myself to GC version

No shaders, no shadows, no support for eax or surround, many keys cannot be bound, no support for mousecontrol, no quicksave.

There's not even an "quit game" option.

Just utterly horrible.

Forget this crap, if you want to experience RE4, play the GC version.

I have now played the game for 3 hours or so, so I guess I gave it a chance. I cannot see what people see in this game. I run around and shoot villagers and blue medallions and slash crates for coins, and I do not see why. No story. No feel. Nothing.
This feels like a dungeonhack, not a horror game.

I finished The Suffering this morning. THAT's a horror game for thoose who did not know. So is Silent Hill. Even Alone in the Dark 4 was a storyfocused horror game.

Heh, well RE4 was originally made for GC and GC is more powerful than PS2.

So the PS2 version is seriously downgraded version from the RE4 original, I have seen the different versions.

Actually maybe you can try to play Resident Evil 1 for GC, it is a remade PS1 version, it is a real horror game, RE4 is more like a shooter in the dark. I didn't like Silent Hill 1,2,3,4, neither Alone in The Dark 4, didn't impress me much.

The Suffering is just decent, I'm afraid.

oh, the irony. Some months ago a guy almost bit my head off for even claiming that there had been mixed opinions and reviews about Resident Evil 4, and now I see all these people who feel that RE4 wasn't that great.

Actually, RE4 was really not that great. RE1 is still the best of the series, especially the GC remake. RE2 was pretty good too, but RE3 was probably the worst, I didn't enjoy it a bit. Then RE: CV was 2nd best, RE0 was kinda ok and the rest, like Outbreaks and stuff, I don't even consider it as a part of the series.

Oh, well if you say so then it must be true.

Quick, to the store! Maybe I can still trade in my RE4 for cash!

To be honest If I had to play a game that was like SAW III I woudent buy it, because stuff like that just makes me feel physically sick, I regret watching that movie (but Chris forced me )

I love Resident Evil 1 + 4 & Silent Hill 1 because of the atmosphere, not over the top grossness.

I guess everyone plays RE cause of the atmosphere When I first played RE1 for PSX, there is a place where two "dogs" jump in the corridor through the window, I got so scared I dropped my joypad
