Okami
Seems like this gem doesn't only look breathtaking, it also is getting glorious reviews. Anyone getting it?

The screenshots didn't quite convince me, and neither did the short explanations about the gameplay - but wow, did the trailers look breathtaking! Gamespot gave it "awesome" 9.0/10 - heck yeah, I'm getting it.

I'll get it for sure. Next year when it comes to Europe.
It looks great and with +30h of gameplay it has enough value. The PS2 is going out with some great games. |

I'll buy it once I acquire a PS3. I don't know when that'll be, though.

I'll probably check it out! If it blows me away like "Shadow of the Colossus" did, than I'll be sure to get it. It looks like one of those games that show why PS2 rocks (cue cheesy, guitar riff).

I'll definitely be getting this, either via import or waiting for the EU version to drop. Looks breathtaking and the great reviews only sell me more.

This game will be the reason I get a PS2.

True, I guess I just assumed one would get a PS3 so you you wouldn't be restricted to games that have already come out (that is, your system will never have anything new, and therefore wouldn't be as exciting to follow). But I see your point, cost is definitely an issue, especially when it comes to the PS3.

I might get Okami when PS2 drops to $50, that might take a few hundred years.

I can't believe a 7 year old console still costs 100quid here, I can get a Dreamcast for 25 quid.

A friend of mine at work was thinking of getting a PS2 and I convinced him to go for it. Like Dasilva mentioned, there's a load of excellent games to try. Looking for a slick and addictive action game, pick up "Devil May Cry" (or even "God of War"). Want to be immersed in an adventure-style game, grab "Beyond Good & Evil" or "Prince of Persia."
There's so many good-quality games on that console to keep you busy for a few years. As much as I'm tempted to get the newer consoles, it's just best to wait and see how the battle unfolds. Plus I'll wait for them to get just a "little" cheaper or for those bundle-packs to come along. Which will be like what...10 years or so? Until then I've got my PS2 and the always reliable PC.
