I only played part of Psychonauts before it frustrated me enough to put it aside (inside Sasha Nein's mind with the censors). I loved and had so much fun with the camp and Basic Braining but I gave up after that.

I would like to see him make another adventure game possibly using the way you controlled Raz (which was tons of fun with a gamepad).

I will be evil and ask Spiwak what he means by a classic adventure.

He can create a Schaferic adventure game.

Y'know, everything else he's ever made, basically (I count GF as a classic adventure game even though it's a different interface).

I like adventure games just as much as the next guy, but I'd like to see him do something different with all that creativity he has and the backing of a major label. And I say with all due respect, of course; I love his adventure games more than anyone else's.

Also, he shouldn't make a classic adventure game because I'd like his company to actually stick around for a while.

Laura Blows.

No, no, that's not what I mean. Pervs. Sort of a cross between Body Blows, Colonel's Bequest, Arkanoid and Tomb Raider. Only way cooler. And of course with some kind of wicked back plot that's causing Vivendi's marketing department nightmares.

I see what you're saying. I hope he adds some adventure elements like he did with Psychonauts but I hope he adds difficulty levels that you can choose for lazy dorks like me who don't have the mental energy to learn new stuff in games. I can't remember in Psychonauts now, if there was an easy option.

That's kind of a depressing statement.

LOL.

Tim is the perfect designer to help breathe new life in to the graphic adventure genre. If anyone can bring the "classic" flavour back with a new twist it's him. Either way, I can't wait to see what he's brewing...

I don't think anyone has posted this link yet. There is a nice joke picture for all of us old school Sierra (actually pre-sierra) adventure fans on Double Fine's news page.

That is awesome!! We actually had a thread in chit-chat where Samiamsad brought up that game that Roberta was on the cover of.

I hope this game shows him doing something really radical from a gameplay perspective - it's something we haven't really seen a huge amount of from him. Of course, I wouldn't object to an adventure game or another, further refined take on platformers but would love to see something completely new like a Schafer RTS or maybe even something slightly Animal Crossing like.

I'm hoping that it's going be something completely different than before, but knowing Schafer's work, it will be.

The awfulness of that box is beyond words. It's.....

Even LEC's boxes at their worst (read: the EMI boxart) were never that bad.

Maybe it's a sequel to Magna Cum Laude and the soft porn joke is a hint.
