I downloaded the game/demo just now, but something went wrong during installation. Nutso stopped installing near the end of the blue bar but by the sound of my harddisk it was frantically trying to do something. I waited and waited some more and then decided to do an Ctr-Alt-Del because I couldn't do anything. Didn't work either, I had to switch off my computer.

Was that istallation or after it was installed and the game was launching when it paused?

During installation. The blue loading bar was still visible, near the end.

The first review of Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso is in and it's a beauty. Gordon Aplin, over at Quandary, gave the game FOUR STARS! in his excellent review: http://www.quandaryland.com/jsp/disp....jsp?index=777

Reading the review was a real pleasure as he picked up on everything in the manner I'd hoped, which I always take as a good sign that the designer-player partnership is meshing well. Because of the game's nature and the climate it's released into, I never thought of it as a five star, ten-out-of-ten game, so to get four stars means the game has acheived the top marks of what I expected.

Consider me EXTREMELY pleased.

Dammit, the second screenshot in that review with the frog is where I can't yet get to. How it torments me! (although I haven't had time to play the game again since the last time I posted about it)

I downloaded the file again, closed a lot of background stuff and installed the game again. Everything is fine now! Don't know what went wrong, I must have scratched the heffletimpleburpler or something...

PS: Nice game, bought it.

Oh, no! Make sure you handle the Heffletimpleburpler with care.

Thanks for buying it.

Josh Winiberg, the composer of the excellent music in Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso, has created high quality versions of three of the tracks from the game. One of these can be downloaded from the Nutso Download Page ( http://www.juniper-games.com/smoozles/downloads.htm ) with the other two available at Josh's MySpace page ( http://www.myspace.com/joshwiniberg ).

Josh is hoping to put together an album of all the music from the game and release it as a CD. Watch out for further news on this.

Anyone who likes beautiful piano music should check out his two already released CD albums.

You should make an adventure game. I'd buy that. As long as it didn't have furry animals as the main characters.

From the Quandary review: "Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso is pretty much an adventure game with an arcade-style overlay."

You have something against furry animals?

I wouldn't call it an adventure game. I mean, it KIND of is, but i'm talking full out adventure game. Something that looks a little less like Pacman.

Mr. Smoozles is clearly the most entertaining furry animal with a gun since -- Chewbacca. (I just bought the game as a present for a friend.)

Hey Martin, that's really good of you to say. I hope the friend enjoys playing it.

Although this may put temptation in the path of players, I've just created a hints page for the game which can be found at the link below:

Default Broken Garden

I have played through twice (from 2 saved games) to see if I missed somethig, (and obviously I have) but I just can't seem to teleport to the Broken Garden. I have upgraded to the displacement device - what am I missing here?

Spoiler:
I thought that also but turns out you have to press the D key, which activates the teleport (like at the beginning of the game). You have to be standing in the broken garden.

Thanks Wildcat! I figured it out, though I couldn't remember what key to use!
I LOVE this game - I may have to play it again soon.
So Steve, please tell us you have sequels in the works - I can't wait for more adventures with Ed and the gang!
