I was going to be disappointed if you didn't get that one, Huz.

OK, so we have...

#3 - Chrono Trigger Bike Race - Undeaf
#4 - QFG4 Fairy Queen Battle - Kurufinwe
#11 - Wing Commander Prophecy Theme - Huz
#14 - KQ6 "Bad Wedding" Music - Kurufinwe

Notes:

#2 isn't a Sonic game either, but it is 8-Bit.
#8 fortunately isn't "real" background music, so you don't have to listen to it for a long time.
#12 I'd be willing to bet the average adventure gamer has played at some point.

Peace & Luv, Liz

12. Space Quest IV - Fight with Vohaul in the Computer Command Chamber

Nice touch using the SQ4 points theme to divide the tracks, BTW.

Also, #8 reminds me of the opening of a scene from Swan Lake (specifically the track used in LOOM as the "Crystalgard" piece). But I have no idea why it would be repeated over and over again. That's certainly a wrong guess, but it's all I could think of.

Yep! That's my favorite tune from SQ4... though everybody seems to like the Format Countdown better. Hmmph. And thankee on the compliment... it was the first thing that popped into my head when I thought of what sound to use as the seperator.

So, we have:

#3 - Chrono Trigger Bike Race - Undeaf
#4 - QFG4 Fairy Queen Battle - Kurufinwe
#11 - Wing Commander Prophecy Theme - Huz
#12 - The Fight in SQ4 - ATMachine
#14 - KQ6 "Bad Wedding" Music - Kurufinwe

Some hints, then, maybe?

#1 is a clicky puzzly type game.
#2 is an 8-Bit island-hopping game. It'll help if you don't stick bananas in your ears before listening to it.
#5 and #6 are also 8-Bit.
#7 is kind of tricksy... it's not typical of the rest of the soundtrack (or really even is the main background music for that area of the game).
#8 is kind of repetitive, isn't it? Almost as if it were... skipping. Like it was... broken?
#9 and #10 are both RPGs. By the same company. In fact, I think they were even scored by the same guy. Not the same series, though.
#13 is actually a remix of the song, but the main motif is still intact.

Peace & Luv, Liz

I think I've just totally given up on this one. I keep listening to the tracks over and over hoping that something will jump out at me, but nothing so far.

*sheepish look*

I think my track choice was just too hard, because I know people here have played games #7-10 and #13. I sense some forehead slapping eventually. Anyhoo.

#5 is indeed Marble Madness... the Practice Race, to be precise.

#3 - Chrono Trigger Bike Race - Undeaf
#4 - QFG4 Fairy Queen Battle - Kurufinwe
#5 - Marble Madness Practice Race - Molgera
#11 - Wing Commander Prophecy Theme - Huz
#12 - The Fight in SQ4 - ATMachine
#14 - KQ6 "Bad Wedding" Music - Kurufinwe

Hmm. More clues. Consider these additions to the clues mentioned in post #83.

#1 - Well-known PC "match three" puzzle game.
#2 - Plus you might also want to bring your yo-yo along.
#6 - Not even sure how to describe this game, actually. Kind of a... puzzle maze, with staffs and potions and wizards.
#7 and #8 are both records. #8 is a broken record, in fact.
#9 involves a side quest to get a party member that admittedly is one that's hard to find. He's so cool, though.
#10 is just some guys... in a bunker... in the middle of the desert... wearing really rad armor.
#13 is some nice travel music that you spend a lot of the game listening to. The guy who wrote the original was a fan that won a contest and got to have his tune in the game, if memory serves.

Peace & Luv, Liz

Well #1 would have to be Bejeweled or Bejeweled 2 then I imagine...and your last hint for #2 would make me guess Startropics although there is definitely no way I remember any of the music from that long ago.

Now that you mention the yo-yo, #2 definitely sounds like Star Tropics. I never owned the game or played it that much so I would've never recognized it.

And I've put together 12 songs for whenever my turn comes around.

Heh! That does give it away, doesn't it? Not many games that have yo-yos as weapons, I don't think. StarTropics is one of those sadly underrated games that IMHO deserved to be more popular than it was. But anyhoo. The tune in question is the music that played during almost every single battle section.

And #1 is in fact Bejeweled. The "Intro sting", to be precise... the sample in the clip is actually the entire "song".

#1 - Bejeweled Intro - seether295
#2 - StarTropics Battle Theme - seether295
#3 - Chrono Trigger Bike Race - Undeaf
#4 - QFG4 Fairy Queen Battle - Kurufinwe
#5 - Marble Madness Practice Race - Molgera
#11 - Wing Commander Prophecy Theme - Huz
#12 - The Fight in SQ4 - ATMachine
#14 - KQ6 "Bad Wedding" Music - Kurufinwe

OK, I know I didn't pick some weird obscure games nobody's played, so I quickly cobbled together a hopefully easier (read: longer clips) medley of the songs that are left. But if everyone's still clueless, I'll spill the beans and we'll get on with Molgera's stuff.

Linky: Second Medley version

Is the third one tetris? The last one sounds really familiar, but I just can't put my finger on it.

I'm afraid not, Undeaf.

OK, guess it's time to take pity on you folks:

Spoiler:
#6 is the introduction to the NES game Solstice.

#7 is the Ballad of Captain Dick record from the Courtyard chapter of Sanitarium.

#8 is the broken record from the NES port of Maniac Mansion.

#9 is Nordom's Theme from Planescape: Torment. (My second-favorite party member.)

#10 is the background music for the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout. (One of my favorite sections of the game.)

And finally, #13 is a slightly more jazzed-up version of the "Travelling Through Hyperspace" music in Star Control 2.

So, honest, I swear, I didn't pick a lot of obscure games nobody's played...

Anyhoo, uh, onward to Molgera's medley, it seems.

Peace & Luv, Liz

Okay then, here are 12 more with 15 seconds of audio for each. It's mostly modern and well known stuff. The transition jingle is also from a game, so that's really 13 games to figure out. Enjoy.

#5, I think it is, is Skeletons in my Closet from the end credits of The 7th Guest. The transition jingle sounds familiar too, I just can't place it...

#3 is from Amateria (the puzzle with the ball jumping between two wheels, I think) in Myst III: Exile.

#11 is the theme for the Smiths in GK2.

And that's all I recognize.

MM NES! I should have known; isn't the record labeled "Loom soundtrack album" in that version? And it IS a snippet of Swan Lake, which was used for Loom's music. Of course, I'm most familiar with MM for PC, in which the record is just a bunch of random noise, so the NES version didn't occur to me.
