I'm on about the games.Silent Hill 2 was the best out of the 4.That's what I think. The Resi movies have actually nothing in common with the games do they?

Anyway, I prefer Silent Hill (though if Resident Evil continues in the direction of RE4, that will probably change), but there are other, maybe even more interesting survival horros out there.

Resi 4 isn't even in the same genre anymore. It's more of an atmospheric shoot'em up now, than a survival horror.

Anyhow, Silent Hill is the best of the bunch, while SH2 was a close second. SH3 is good too, but they messed it up big time with SH4. But that's probably because it was meant to be just another survival horror game from Konami, but in order to sell more (I assume) they slapped Silent Hill on the title.

Not only that, Silent Hill beats Resident Evil in the movies department too. Not as good as the games of course, but still pretty good. The story was basically an alternate SH1 storyline.

I must be one of the few people who actually prefer the Resident Evil films, ie. the first one as that's the only one I've seen. It's a good popcorn flick, not really faithful to the series and more action than horror, but still fun. Silent Hill, on the other hand, is great fan service (though even that's questionable - what's up with all those people in rags? it's like they jumped into the movie straight out of Les Miserables), but a bad horror film.

Apparently that wasnt a silent hill game to begin with, it was just going to be a random survival horror or something.
