Jazz Jack Rabbit! (You heard right!)

When I was a little kid I CAN NOT begin to tell you how amazingly in love I was/am in this game, after searching ebay and every other place on earth this gem was so hard to find, I got it on a bit torrent after so much time spent searching for this baby.

So now I have the Full Version of the ever so beatiful JJR 1 & JJR 2. I must say JJR has aged very well, after 12 years, this game is still beatiful and the gameplay holds up very well. :) Not to mention the amazing music sounds superb.

Anyone else have fond memories of JJR?

How do you run it than. I remember that when i played JJR1 on a Pentium 200 it played at like 1000 FPS. JJR2 was cool, but i once borrowed it toghether with Jedi Knight to a guy from school and never got it back. :\

I use Dosbox and it runs it flawlessly. :)

I still have Jazz Jackrabbit 2. These games are good fun. And managed to get me to buy a Gravis Gamepad .

Psst, the color is #F6F6F1, not just plain yellow.

I seem to remember having fun with both games, though I didn't finish either. Don't remember much else, except that in JJ2 I liked Jazz's helicopter float a lot, but found Spaz's double-jump to be much more useful.

RLacey 08-11-2006 07:41 AM

I remember Jazz Jackrabbit 2 being really easy (on the easiest difficulty level), except for one boss. I remember at least one boss could be defeated simply by stockpiling weapons (the rest of the level was perfectly possible with the basic machine gun) and then just holding down the fire button...

Spazz must be one of the best game characters ever.:pan:

Dasilva 08-11-2006 08:07 AM

And what about Lori?

Naveed 08-11-2006 11:35 AM

JJR2 was amazing. Loved the multiplayer.

I found Lori to be the least appeling(sp?) of the 3. Spazz was cool especially when he at the bird. :D

Was Lori the character added for The Secret Files? I remember I never bought that, and was annoyed that they didn't provide an upgrade for owners of Jazz Jackrabbit 2's original release.

Yeah, she came later. She was pretty cool, I nice love interest for Jazz, I would say.

That actually looked quite stylish. I never knew there was a JJR3 in the workds, Epid might still consider it one day when we get sick of Unreal. :P

Woah! I never heard about this before!

Jazz Jackrabbit rules but I've always wondered...

Am I the only one who thinks that Bucky O'Hare and Jazz Jackrabbit are very similar?

They both have green space rabbits fighting lizards...:P

Jatsie 08-12-2006 05:35 PM

OMG! Bucky O'Hare! I had totally forgotten about that show.

This brings back some memories.

Look what I found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6Mh7hhaqhk

I feel all nostalgic now.

I can see the resemblance(sp?) but Jazz is much cooler since he has a really big gun.

Eah, looks boring. Too much exploring, not enough platforming.
