They get delayed for a reason, would you rather have a broken game now or a amazing game next year. 2007 is just around the corner, so it wont be long.

insane_cobra 08-24-2006 11:23 AM

I don't mind, we'll get three games in ome package.

No, I agree with you there, I wasn't complaining, it's just that they always do this, why don't they present realistic release date in the first place?

Although this time there is a strong reason, I mean, it's really 3 games and also the PS3 and X360 versions in work.

By the way, in the interview over at Eurogamer Doug Lombardi says that Episode 2 PC (with Portals and Team Fortress 2) will be more expensive than Episode 1 but less than a full priced game. It seems fair, I think.

I think it is not fair. I don't care about Portals and Team Fortress 2. I bought Episode 1 only because it was the continuation of Half-Life 2, I do not need the Half-Life 1 Deathmatch Source that is bundled with it, but since it was not affecting the cost, it was fine. $20 is a balanced price point for 4-5 hours of game. If Valve increase the price because they are packaging it some games that they think contribute more to the cost then why not sell them separately? Forcing people to pick them up through bundling with Episode 2 is unfair.

I believe I also heard that Episode 2 is longer. Could be wrong though. Either, good trailer - The bridge collapsing was pretty remarkable.

Part 5 looked cool though, and those mini-striders actually seemed to have some half decent AI.
