Default Beyond Good And Evil questions

I've nearly beaten the game and I wanted to ask some questions...

-Is it really worth it to get ALL the pearls? I have 81 of 88 and to get the rest of them I will have to beat the races and do the looter's cavern thing, but I suck at racing! I had to use ALL my boosts to beat race 2!!!

-I already got the first "goodie" from the Dark Room site, do I get more if I get 100%?

The only thing you get if you get all of the pearls is a mini-disc with a really stupid mini-game on it. But I do recommend doing the races. Once you get the hang of it they are quite fun. After doing them countless times I can now actually complete them faster without boosts. The looter's caves can be a bit of a pain, but I found the 2nd one to be the only one that gave me too much of a headach. It is definitely the hardest hovercraft related thing in the game.

I agree. The minigame is not worth the effort. And it's a two-player game actually.

Ah... that would explain why I was having so much trouble doing it by myself...

Are there more than two races? And do you get anything extra if you get a new record?

How far are you currently? There are 4 races and 4 looter's caves. The last two of both you can only access after you get the jump jets.

You get 500 credits for each new record.

Are you talking about the game you play against the shark man?
I already have the M-disk with the game and I don't have all the pearls yet!

No there is this other really stupid mini-game called Yo Pearl that you get with all 88 pearls. It is somewhat of a let down, but at least the racing is fun.

Yeah, found it now... Winning the first two aces was a piece of cake for me, but I didn't get any records... I guess I'll try, just to get my name on the wall in the bar.

That could be part of the problem. I find that boost actually make you do worse because the cause you to always run into the walls. If you don't use them you have much better control. Just hit all of those like boost pads as you go and you should do fine. Oh, and try to stay on the inside on curves you can usually pass the other cars on them.

To make the record in the first (or maybe it was the second) race I used about 3-4 boosts. I tried to hit all the boost pads and used my own boosts only when there was enough straight "road" ahead.

Default some silly questions

How exactly do I give Ap1's (the Life Capacity things) to the pig? Once I pick one up, it automatically goes to me....please help.

And also, how come Pey'j's health doesn't go up when i give him the food when he's 1.5 out of 2 health?

Go to your inventory. You should see the AP1s there. Select one and move it to the picture of Pey'j in the upper left corner and then diselect it. You can also give him health this way or any other item like that. He will only eat food when he needs it, so I guess he doesn't think he needs it at 1.5 hearts. Don't worry though. Both Pey'j and Double H rarely get hit.

Isn't it that the moment you buy one of those hearth-extenders it gets used?

So it's impossible to give anyone but jade the AP1's, I think...

You can find them in your inventory. They all automatically go to Jade, but you can always give them to other characters by moving them to their inventory.

Come on now, I also had some trouble at first, not at coming first but to break the records. The trick is to press "E" and drive the boat in first person, cause in my opinion you take the curves much smoother. It took me about two tries at each race to beat the records, without any boosts. So try it in first person and see what happens.

You will get the code by entering the internet code (the one you get at the save screen) in the Dark Room site, but only if you have a decent score, which I assume you do...

BTW, you have no idea HOW BAD I am at racing games, in Ridge Racer Revolution I couldn't beat the 1st race....
