Whenever a statement like this ends in a question mark, it's highly unlikely to happen. Even though this is probably true.

Default He more or less confirmed it in his cyberjoke mailinglist

Hi,

As a member of Al Lowe's cyberjoke mailingslist i recieved this info yesterday.

>I have some very special news that I want to share with you but cannot ...at least until next week. But, since word has gotten out on the Net already, I can at least point you to the site that leaked the news. I promise to give you the full story next Tuesday:
http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/new...php?story=9143

So i think this is the real thing .. can we hope/pray that vivendi or whatever copyright holder will be giving him back Larry ?

Signing off

Just look at the hints in that letter, could it be any more obvious? He's back.

Probably not, considering the proximity of the release of Magna Cum Laude, and the fact that Vivendi may still have plans for the franchise.

But, needless to say, this is exciting news. Al Lowe is a great game designer, and I'm sure whatever he puts out will be amazing.

Al lowe is one of my most favorite designers (if not the most). Leisure Suit Larry 6 and 7, apart from broadly underestimated and mistaken as male chauvinist games, had some of the best designs in an adventure ever, and they were terribly funny.

A partner from my website contacted Al regarding the matter (he's always been a very kind and receptive person), and he just confirmed that he were to participate in the press conference mentioned (probably because he couldn't say more!).

I just hope it's about a new adventure game...

My nipples (seems like a trend, doesn't it) explode with anticipation. And grace.

Apparently my hovercraft is full of eels too.

This is great. I was never incredibly fond of the Larry games, but the good thing is that Al seems to know what he is on about, especially the things he has said over the last few years. As long as he has the resources and freedom required, I think he might be able to deliver us a good game.

Maybe it won't be an adventure game, though...

I have not played Larry 6, but 7 was absolutely hilarious and truly one of the great adventure games also in terms of design. Easter eggs were fun too

Wouldn't mind another Pharkas game, personally.

That license still belongs to Vivendi, right?

He replied to an email I sent yesterday, and indeed, he's going back to making games...(dances with joy)

I couldn't be happier for Al Lowe. He is a very humble and kind person, with a great sense of humor me thinks (although some people don't get the LSL games). I'm so glad he enjoyed Psychonauts and wants more of that type of games in the market. I can only wait in anticipation for what he will come up with

Yay!
Let´s hope that it´s a adventuregame and not some rubbish fps.

Or a really cool, funny FPS, like NOLF.

Yes. Full of eels. In true Hungarian-English dictionary fashion. Apparently a Python joke.

Thank god, finally the Larry name can be restored to glory, and not interactive porn.
