Haha! Yeah, right. I think I was fooled for about five minutes and that was because I didn't read the whole article because I realized I don't give a crap about MMORPGs. Then I remembered what day it is. It wouldn't surprise me if they made a game like that, although it would probably six years down the road before we even saw anything from Blizzard.

Early build of Starcraft Toooo to be shown this May? Plus: Official Announcement?

Warcraft 3's the first Blizz game I'm personally really addicted to (never played "Starcraft", "Diablo" occasionally, but "Lost Vikings" kicked butt, too), and with all the people that worked on the original game and left the company in recent times who knows what might come off of it?

If the game will actually be announced, which wouldn't be like the biggest surprise ever. Or would it?

Yeah, its said to come out late 2007. It could be true that they have been working on this game for years without anyone knowing. Its Blizzard for gods sake, people "disapear" if they give out info. lol

And Starcraft 1 took around 6 years to make if I'm not mistaken. Starcraft for me is the finest RTS ever, the story, I perticularly was ingrossed with, cant wait to know more abou the Queen of Blades.

Although I don't get excited about anything Blizzard related anymore, Starcraft Ghost being canned, kind of killed me.

I was a bit disappointed with StarCraft at first, seemed like a step back when it came out. Still, it's a very engaging game and probably has the most balanced multiplayer out of all RTS games released so far.

And yeah, I'd say we'll get StarCraft 2 very soon.

Yea, it's "balanced". Its too rock, paper, scissors for me.

Plus, like all blizzard RTS's, the tech trees are shallow.

Star Craft is the only RTS game I've enjoyed since the original Command and Conquer. It had a really nice story line for a RTS.

Don't you know it. Command & Conquer & Starcraft are my all time classics, its insane how nostalgia I get when I play the original c&c game.

I don't know, but with a 1998 release date, that doesn't sound very likely, unless you count some idea some lad at Blizz wanted to realize ever since the company was founded. "Warcraft", the first game (I think) under the Blizz label came out in 1994, for instance.

And Dune2 in 1992.

Yep yes, Starcraft took 6 years to make, it was delayed a few times when it was being made I think it was completely overhauled at some point. There are old screenshots floating around on the internet that look really bad. Glad they polished it to perfection.

I think in the first builds they took the Warcraft2 (OMFG it's SVGA!) engine from 1995 and used that for a while so that early shots make it look like Warcraft2 in space. But six years? Come on, it's Blizzard, not 3Drealms.
