I'm playing "Post Mortem", and liking it better than I thought I would. It's better than the last game I played which I thought I'd like. Anyway, although I like it, I love/hate how there are many different dialogue branches, and you can't take them all. I'm the type of player who wants to talk about everything, and each choice you pick gives you different information, but you can only choose one!!! Grr! lol But I'm loving it. I'm only a few scenes into it, and I'm finding it hard to sketch the killer, but I'm liking it.

I sat down to play The Sims 3 today and hours seemed to pass in the blink of an eye. I'm sure that it'll get old, fast like the previous games in the series, so I'll enjoy it while it lasts. Good times!

I started playing Left 4 Dead. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. It's very good.

I'm stuck in a classic oldie, "Schizm". An utterly frustrating puzzle involving gas mixture. I have fewer hairs on my head than about three weeks ago, and most of them are white. Thanks LK Avalon ;-)

Kind of enjoying this, now that I've successfully played a game in which I've contributed and haven't been slaughtered. |

Spoiler: Anyway, I'm playing Final Fantasy IV on my DSi. It's pretty fun, but compared to Final Fantasy VII the story is kind of bland. On the bright side I can save anywhere!!!!! Yay!!!!! No more having to find a save spot before I can turn off the game.

Sacred Rings
Sacred Rings, near the end. I was enjoying the game and looking forward to some beautiful final scenes when I realized I don’t have the tetrahedron to proceed. Where did it go? It’s not in my inventory. I had it early on and probably tried using it on some puzzles along the way.
Someone who reviewed the game could have an explanation as to why my tetrahedron went missing. I quote: “There are also two major bugs, and, as of this writing there are no known patches. However, there is a gameplay around them that I discovered. On the "letters" puzzle in the graveyard, do NOT touch any of your inventory against this puzzle, or they will disappear and you will not be able to retrieve them. Secondly, when clicking on Reina to begin the lightning spell, be sure to click on her with something from your inventory. Otherwise, when you arrive in the land of the Shadow Legion, you will not be able to access your inventory.” Either one of these possibilities could have caused my tetrahedron to disappear. And since the game doesn’t allow for a lot of saves, I have no saves with the tetrahedron still in it. So here I am near the end of the game. And the only way of finishing is to start all over again. Sigh!

I quite agree about the patch thing. Game-killing bugs are really unforgiveable.
Knights of the Old Republic On the quest for the Star Map. Found the one on Manaan and I'm now looking for the one on Kashykk. Leaving the third planet until last as it sounded a bit more dangerour. There are a number of side quests where I've hit dead ends. Hoping to revisit them later. It's an interesting enough game but a couple of things bug me. One is the repeated use of character models. Meeting the same people over and over again gets really confusing. Is this the clone wars? The other is the vast landscapes (the planet-wide city of Taris, the ocean-floor of Manaan) that have highly restricted access. It's a real immersion killer to present a huge vista and then make most of it completely inaccessible.

After a computer crash and some money spent on new motherboard and video card I now finally get to play Broken Sword The Angel of Death. I'm currently trying to open the safe where the manuscript is located. I've searched the entire "meat factory" and haven't got a clue on how to proceed.
George is mighty handsome in this game btw. EDIT: I got it!

Neverwinter Nights 2
I've gone back to this after years of not getting through it. And it's like it's been written just to irritate me. I'm currently ploughing through the middle of Act II, which has 'slog' written all over. Shame. |

The Witcher
I finally bought a new computer so at last I'm able to play The Witcher. Bought it when it was first released and have been waiting to play it ever since. I'm on chapter 2 and this could very well turn out to be one of the best games I've ever played so far.

Well, I'm addicted to "Sims 2" right now. And it really is addicting. You wouldn't think telling people to go to the bathroom, go to work, and have a baby would be so fun. I've been playing it nearly non-stop for the past few days, and liking it. Both of my Sim couple are happy, with two boys, baby and child. I really wis I could have a girl though. Before that, I had kittens on "Petz 5" and a cool Theme Park on "Sim Theme Park", even though it was just the 'instant action', since I can't get the game to work with the full simulation.
I know, bad adventure gamer. I was in the middle of playing "Post Mortem", but the Sim crave washed me up.

Resident Evil 5 - I think I'm over half way through; and, when I've finished, I think I'll replay Silent Hill: Homecoming on hard mode.

With the imminent release of TMI and the remake of TSMI, i'm replaying The Curse of Monkey Island. Love it, i'm finishing Part 4.
And i'm also replaying The Witcher. This is my 2nd playthrough, and i'm making different decisions to see all the alternatives endings and results. It´s a fantastic RPG, i really enjoy it. I'm at chapter 2 at Vizima.

After finishing Sherlock Holmes vs Arsène Lupin last weekend, I wanted to pick up my replay of GK3 again (starting day 2), but as there's no chance of catching up with the playthrough (interesting thread though! I'm using the points check list in that topic to make sure I get to see everything there is in the game and of course to obtain a full score for the first time ), and I was more in the mood for a slice of comedy, I continued with Jack Keane.
Jack Keane has been on my computer for some time now as I was completely stuck in chapter 4. But I finally figured out what to do and am now ready to start chapter 9. I'm enjoying the game so far. It's nowhere near as funny as the Monkey Island games, but it definitely has its moments. Plus, the game looks beautiful and the gameplay is not too difficult (which is a nice change after some of those puzzles in SH Nemesis!). |
