Pull out the books in the right sequence. The first letters of the book titles should form a name.

Mirror's Edge - Loving it. It takes the only part of HL2 I like, the beginning, and makes a full-blown game out of it. I don't follow the story, I skip the videos, but I sure as hell enjoy the adrenalin while being chased. Just disrupted some convoy with a sniper rifle and now getting down a skyscraper, being chased by some dudes. No idea why, but it's fun!

The main quest takes only a few hours.

You must have been playing a different NOLF2 than I did. I finished it years ago, and loved it back then. Cheesy, funny stuff.

Silent Hill: Homecoming

I'm really enjoying this: despite what others have said, I'm finding a lot of the atmosphere that I was looking for.
It is a tad too dark, though...

Perhaps you could say why you thought it sucked, instead of making a silly comment like this.

Default Darkness Within

I'm at the list of symbols in the office and can't underline the other three locations.

Even with installing the patch before starting, seems you have to do things in proper order or some clues get deleted before you have a chance to use them later.

I liked so much about this game ... the art, storyline, voiceovers and dreams are all fine. BUT the underlining and combining of clues is totally NOT user friendly and VERY frustrating.

When I started playing this game, I thought what luck to find it in a sales bin for 2 bucks!! Wrong!!

Just to update the above:
I found another (more recent patch) and am happy to say I have been able to move forward.

Default Everlight

Managed to install this game but it won't launch on either of my computers. Says to use Direct X9.0c from the DVD. It seems to download the required Direct X but will not launch.

Paid $20 for this game a few months ago only to find it doesn't work. I've read the threads, tried to download the German patch (can't read German so don't know what that's about), AND contacted various tech departments associated with the game. NO response.

So far ... this is looking like a rip off!!

About my earlier comments above:
I did at least get a response from dreamcatcher. I will try the tech's suggestions but am not sure it will help.

I agree. NOLF2 was great.

Yeah I noticed that when I got back in track and did the main quests only.
The game came to the end very quickly.

Now I'm going through King Kong by Michel Ancel from 2005. Finally I'm playing it, only took 3 frigging years to install it.

I have way too many games like that which have suffered the same fate.

The game is really cool though completely a trench run like many fps games, but this one is extremely limited. I don't know is it because it was also mainly made for consoles or what?

It's nice to hear good voice acting from the likes of Jack Black and Adrian Brody who voiced the same characters as they acted in the movie.

I think there was some weird high resolution version of this game also available?

Dragon Quest IV (on the DS).

I'm currently in the bathroom trying to shake the toilet water out of the cartridge after dumping it in there in frustration.

I liked DQV but despite a promising start DQIV has really started to take to my rectum with a rusty drill bit.

I was really enjoying it at first, but now I hate it to the point of indulging in fantasies about buses mounting the sidewalk and inadvertently-on-purpose horribly killing the developers.

Exciting game. Played it not that long ago for the second time. As for me on Syberia II, and God only knows how far I am in that. As well as XIII for my second playthrough though we'll see if I actually finish it. It commits the cardinal sin of being check point based.

World in Conflict - Soviet Assault
Last mission of the addon. Having great fun, the story is very good for an RTS, the controls are expectingly superb, the missions are nothing new really, but more of the same is good enough for me. The patriotic Kolja is very convincing, and the fact that they apparently hired professional Russian speakers who are not afraid to curse in Russian during the cutscenes greatly expands the experience.

Thief: The Dark Project

Definitely an interesting game. Not quite up to par with modern games like Assassin's Creed, of course, but still pretty cool.

There would have been no Assassin's Creed without the sublime Thief.

It is a classic and imo AC isn't even in the same ballpark.
