Except that Norton has dropped a lot :)

Norton always sells well because almost everyone who has a PC goes out and buys anti-virus software, through Microsoft style forced domination Norton is about all thats left so it always charts high.. (Although Ive not bought anti-virus software since the days of Solomon's Home Guard.. oops) the charts I post are the "All Software" charts so stuff like that counts..

..a lot of things like microsoft office dont make the chart all the time because they are mostly pre-loaded on PC's when bought you dont even get the disk.. business tends to buy their software pre-loaded too or in deals exempt from the chart..

Console related stuff like Datel's Action Replay and Freeloader have their own seperate charts on chart track (which i think are quarterly). Things like Focus' Driving Test range, new versions of windows and microsoft office (in the yearly back to college/uni rush) come into the charts but are quite rare.. Some edutainment stuff gets in too like the Pokemon Printer range a few years ago.. or ranges from Europress, Fasttrak, Jester's music series and Empire Interactive's E-Jay...

Also Pop Idol the game was supposedly a dead cert for no1 with ladbrokes offering oddds of 1/2. Manhunt, EyeToy Groove, Pokemon and Mario Kart were supposed to be contenders too but never got close..

Wow! I'm surprised Call of Duty is barely on there, and Knights of the Old Republic, not even that! :o

SamandMax 12-23-2003 11:19 AM

I'm surprised people are buying Medal of Honor: Rising Sun, seeing as it's not that good. I thought bad word of mouth would cause it to drop, but this is the 2nd week it's been #1 already.
