On 12/31 I purchased Chronicles of Mystery: Tree of Life. Resistance is futile! However, I still count my resolution not to buy any new games this year till I get my new system to be in effect as the last game falls within last year's period.

Well I took advantage of the discount on Tex Murphy Pandora Directive on GOG. Not that it was ever to expensive at 9.99, but I guess I'm a sucker for discounts
So I went on and bought Dirt 2 on Steam, couldn't let this 50% off just laying around, now could I?

I've seen the first "Art of Murder" for €10 in a store. It looks like something I'd like, though I'm a bit held back because of some things I read in the review, like that you have to do stuff in the correct order, and that you can't pick up things before your character knows what to do with it. That's been a problem for me in several games, me thinking they're all objects you can't pick up so I never go back to try again.

But I've vowed not to buy any new games before I've finished either "Prince of Persia" or "Mirror's Edge", but adventure games rarely find their way into our stores so this seems too good to pass up ...

A game for every passed exam. I'm looking forward to the Ice-Pick Lodge games.
I'll probably wait with Pathologic for a translation patch/remake though...
or me learning Russian, whichever comes first.

Haven't bought it yet, but I'm planning to get Mass Effect 2 next week!

I've been waiting for this game for 3 years!

What I bought in January

Sam & Max Save the World, Trine, Psychonauts and Crayon Physics Deluxe, all for less than 15 bucks.
I imported a handful of other titles but apparently everyone in my local Customs Office took the month off and my last 3 orders are still delayed.

Really? I've been hearing (as in 'reading') a lot how great the game is and how horrible the translation is.
If there's a chance for it to be better, I don't mind the wait. It's not like I've got a shortage of games to play
