It plays Gamecube games normally, it has a mini dvd drive for those games or what ever the cube discs are.

Backwards compatibility through downloads are for NES, SNES and N64 games.
And possibly for some old Sega games if the rumours are true.

Downloads? Are they going to be free then? It wouldn't make too much sense to have to pay some nominal fee for a game that I already own for N64 or NES.

You'll pay a small fee for whatever game you choose to download. I cant wait to play Goldenbeye & Perfect Dark.

Colonels Bequest boxed, special stuff indeed. One of the best games ever made over all genres, imo.

In that case... I should see if I can find a bargain for it. It's just that when they reviewed it in Pelit, it got known and the price went up...

I should get Psychonauts too...

And Monkey Islands 1-3...

Yes.

It's on a DVD (so no multple CDs!) with some extra stuff, and also a Dark Horse comic book.

Fret not, Karmillo. The European DVD version is the Director's Cut edition. They never released the standard version here.

Oh, no comic book, but the extra DVD content is there. Definitely.

Hmm. I've pre-ordered Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords... does that count? ;P

The first game is lots of fun to play around with, and the second game looks like it promises to be even more fun. I could probably spend hours just tinkering around with the ship designer, from the sounds of it, and the diplomatic dialogue looks even more amusing.

Peace & Luv, Liz

I bought an original boxed copy of Scorched Planet today, because Virgin Oxford for some reason has about three of the damn things that it's never managed to sell. Until recently they were still trying to sell a ten year-old game for £34.99, but now they've dropped it to the far more reasonable price of 99p.

Not bad. I remember Temple of Elemetal Evil being close to AD&D but buggy as hell. They might have patched it.

Mind you Vampire wasnt the most stable game either.

And they are both Troika games. Hmmmm habit of releasing unfinished buggy but excellent products me thinks.

Ico is just a classic though.
