Brother in Arms: Earned in Blood

For the grand total of £3.98. It feels a bit cheap in comparison to Call of Duty 2, though.

Oh man, couple of my friends got this game before me and I just had to get it too, excellent card games and also Nintendo Wifi support! I want to challenge every AG forumite who has this excellent game!

Excellent movies, I like both Riddick movies very much, but the animation is pretty weak.

I know what you mean when i first played BIA i felt that because of the moving of the gun it was just luck when you hit a german. But the feeling passes with time.

Reflection 12-29-2006 06:32 PM

I think it was Zelda: TTP.

Dasilva 12-30-2006 12:38 PM

I can get it for a tenner (and in English :)), but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Go ahead tease the nerdy collector! No really... Where?!

I already have the English version. :P

Hammerite 01-02-2007 12:43 PM

Silent Hill 2 - Director's Cut

I'm pretty hooked by the game and it's atmosphere, which is fueled by the fantastic ambient music and effects.
Is Silent Hill 3 this good?

Here in Croatia. Actually, it's some Dutch (I think) re-release, but the game is supposedly in English.

Better gameplay, less abmitious story. I prefer it to Silent Hill 2, but I'm in the minority.

AFGNCAAP 01-02-2007 02:50 PM

I have a German release of QfGV, and only subtitles are translated. Spoken dialogue is in English.

That's a Playstation copy, right? I wish I'd bought the PC version before it became extremely rare .

Is it worth a lot, a copy of that is going for 18euros in finnish online auction at the moment..

insane_cobra 01-04-2007 12:16 AM

I can get a brand new copy here for $30.

wilco 01-04-2007 07:54 AM

Just got more portable games... it seems it's the only thing I buy right now

Animal Crossing is fun and relaxing for 15-30 minutes a day, but I guess everyone knows that by now :)

Final Fantasy IV is great, although the random battles are incredible, they appear every two steps... but the jrpg drama is all there!

The Civilization Chronicles. It looks even better, because instead of DVD cases, they've used a cardboard case with those plastic inlays, so that it opens like a book, and there's even a pocket for the charts on the opposite sites. That way, everything, including the card game and the book fit into the box. I love it! Finally I can play Civilization II again! Now, if only they would re-release "Colonization"...but alas, that will probably never happen. A pity really. Such a great game...

"Paradise", with this cover, though I wish they would have used...

...this cover.

There were a lot of Adventure Games in the Store today. Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christy "Hans Christian Andersen's Fairytale Adventures" (loose translation by me), Pathologic (can anyone tell me if this one is any good?), Broken Sword 4 - Angel of Death, Jules Verne - Journey to the Center of the Moon, "The Eulemberg Experiment", The Secrets of DaVinci, The Last Ritual: In Memoriam 2, "Secret of the Forgotten Cave", ANKH - Special Edition (I might still buy this, despite owning the normal version already), "Undercover - Operation Wintersun", "Atlantis - The Holy Legacy" (I think the English title might have been "The Secrets of Atlantis". Seems to play around the time that Zeppelins were common, as there was one on the box), and Runaway 2.

I had a hard time deciding which to buy, without making it too expensive (after all, my father was paying).

Sounds intriguing. I think I might have to make another trip to the shop this weekend.

Another question for anyone that has played Civilization IV. The narrator of the introduction (the brown slideshow, chronicling the creation of the world and live, you know)...is that Leonard Nimoy? Because he sounds and awful lot like King Kashekim Nedakh who was voiced by Leonard Nimoy (and there's no one I could think of that would be better suited to be the voice for a 20000 year old king. He really sounds that *OLD* in the movie. It's amazing!).

Woohoo! My mother will be so proud of me!

Really, I worship his voice talent (and I like Mr. Spock ;) . But I've never heard Mr. Spock in English. I just remember that he sounded different in "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins"). I am impressed they got him to voice a game (albeit of a very well known series).

Arx Fatalis, Archangel and Gorasul: The Legacy of the Dragon on one lovely DVD for £2.59 (second hand :frown: ).

I should have bought Pathologic when it was £4.99 at Play.com. Now I'm going to have to pay £6.98 ...

These last weeks I've been on a constant shopping spree on e-bay:
Gabriel Knight 1
Gabriel Knight 2
Gabriel Knight 3
Discworld Noir
Barrow Hill

Tell me about it, over the last 2 weeks I've aquired 12 games. (Sierra oldies)

Monroeski 01-13-2007 07:32 PM

I picked up Trace Memory for the DS and GUN, Battalion Wars, and Chibi Robo for the Gamecube a little while back. Each game was just 10 dollars due to a clearance sale at Toys 'R' Us. Pretty good deal overall, methinks.

Just bought it, and so far I'm loving it! I don't have a wi-fi connector yet, but it's great just playing against the computer too. You can take some time playing different games in free mode, either puzzle-type, strategy or action, or play "stamp mode" where you have to complete/win the games it tells you to, to move on, and "mission" with different goals you must complete in different games.

The action games are somewhat hard to play, the physics arn't top-notch, but still very enjoyable. And I'm very happy that I now can play mahjong and solitaire on the ds.. :)

I recommend this one to every ds owner out there..

Now I need to get a wi-fi adapter..

Can't you just use scummvm to run the PC version onto your DS? Or does scummvm not support Broken Sword yet?

Panthera 01-16-2007 12:29 PM

Don't think it supports it yet, and I haven't had the guts to try and figure out how to play old games on it..

I have enough with playing the ds games that have come/are coming, and playing adventures on the pc, so for the time being I'm not interested in trying it. I think I should play those old games on the pc first anyway..

RLacey 01-16-2007 12:31 PM

Pathologic. And I bet I'm going to hate it...
