Yes, I so hope that Capcom will release this in Europe. And I'm sure they will, for both PS2 and GameCube. (Capcom are really efficient at releasing PAL versions of their games)

I'm excited about this one since I grew up on the original Mega Man games. These first eight are the best of the bunch, better than the spinoffs (X, EXE, Legends, although I'll concede some of the early X titles were pretty good). There are VERY few series that have survived since the 80s and they're still crunching out a few Mega Man titles a year. This is a good treat to the fans who have been supporting the franchise for the past 15 years.

Also, Konami are releasing a fighter in the vein of Super Smash Bros. Characters include Bomberman, Simon Belmont and Twin-Bee. Who knows, we might even get Solid Snake or whatever.

Square should probably make a game like that (and I'm not talking about that Ehrgeiz game they made a while back).

Sweet! But I tought Bomberman belonged to Hudson? Maybe you got it confused with a Parodius character or something? Can you give me a link to some screenshots?

Hmm... That would be a problem.. Square has too many characters and they only use them once! The may make cameos in sequel or maybe even appear in games like Chocobo Racing or Ehrgeiz, but still there are just too many characters! With over 10 Final Fantasies, the Secret of Mana saga, Parasite Eve and others... It would has even more characters than Marvel VS Capcom 2!
That's one thing I hate from Square, they make very interesting characters and never use them again...

Oh, right. I forgot. It's a Konami/Hudson project.

And Takara as well, I believe. Don't know too much about them, but I believe they're a big toy manufacturer... they make Transformers toys, among other things. As I said, I'm not too sure (Takara is a widely used word in Japan) but I think it's them.

I don't think they will but Transformers in the game, I mean does Simon Belmont stand a chance against Optimus Prime?
AGH! They included a horrible Beyblade character, I'm usually a hardcore otaku and defend anime, but I HATE Beyblade! ITS about magic TOPS!
What's next, Super Skiprope Squad?
I'm gonna buy that game just to make Simon give that Beyblade guy a "whipping"!

Oh, dude, I have a friend who is a total Mega Man Whore. He doesn't even play games nowadays if they are not from the eighties... An artist, he put up a show recently that was a series of rosettes made with identical Mega Man stickers... I have no clue where he got so many Mega Man stickers...

I think Simon could beat Optimus Prime. I mean, he's beaten Dracula like 12 times already.

Hmm... Wouldn't Optimus just STEP on Simon?
That reminds me, did you know that Komani released a compilation called "Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra" for PC? It has the nes Castlevania games and Contra and Super Contra, man, I must have nearly all the compilations out there...
