I just got it a couple of days ago and was quite disappointed to see that no one has made a Monkey Island town tune yet. :frown: Other than that, the game rocks.

The game has now sold 761.000 copies in Japan (it's back at number two in the charts)!

I feel like I'm going to be missing all the fun by not buying Animal Crossing now. Apparently everyone just received a new years card from Nintendo president Iwata, along with a free item.

Connecting Animal Crossing to the intarweb sure was a neat idea.

If I understand correctly you got a new years card from Iwata when you connected to the internet with Animal Crossing DS? So, basically, if you don't have the dongle or any other method, you're online getting part of the joy out of the game?

Well, I suppose so, but in that respect it's no different from any other game that also features a multiplayer mode...

I just started playing it. Gaming on my Nintendo DS is getting me back into enjoying gaming in general. Oh, I'm not doing any multiplayer stuff with it, yet.

Years of thinking I had "sophisticated" tastes in gaming, and you know what? So far I'm really enjoying this, for want of a better word "cute" game where you talk to animals. It's amazing, and oddly engaging.

Is anybody else playing this game regularly? I don't really know anybody who has a DS so I've no friend codes or towns to visit. :frown:

That was a nice touch, but some people are wary of checking their mailbox now after the Unusually-Heavy Red Tulip scare.

Europe still has to wait a month and a half for it...:\
