Default Xbox 360 Recall

the lady at Walmarts electronics section told me that a recall is underway for the highly defective xbox 360. This has been confirmed by Sams Club employees.

OOOoooh, who's the man now? What? What?

I read this from a few teh internet sites also, but not from any site that offers 100% valid information.

This doesn't surprise me if it's true.

Strange, I heard that the "defective" 360s were actually owned by people...

*cough*

That they were too stupid careless and that they covered up the ventilation cover thing causing them to heat up and malfunction...

There's always vocal complainants. Visit any gaming forum and they're full of them.

I feel sorry for them though, hope it doesn't happen to me.

Well how appropriate for Microsoft to make a product that doesn't work. Didn't you guys know what the new Microsoft keyboard for windows vista looks like?

I played the demo of Kameo, the XBOX360 launch game that I was most excited about, in Target yesterday, and to be honest, I am really not impressed with the graphics. Yes it looks pretty and shiny blah blah, but it really doesn't look much different than most of the PC games I play these days. I guess I really had higher expectations.

I think I will get the 360 next year when the PS3 is released. It will be more stable, 100 dollars cheaper with hopefully a much more balanced and fun library of games. Till then, I will go through my backlog of 20 something games on my To play list

Like I said before, the early adapters are like guinea pigs.

It's like the PS2 all over again.

Or the Dreamcast.

Or the PSOne.

Or or or.

This is why I wait a year.

I don't wait a year maybe a month. I have never and will never buy a console on the first day. Unless I know 100% that it is bug free, which will never happen.

Exactly. And who are the first to find those bugs firsthand? The early adapters. That's the truth.

Anyway, at least MS quickly responded to do what they can to help the situation. Which far more than I can say about Sony.

Wouldn't you rather wait til the next batch comes out that hopefully will be improved?
