Default Prince of Persia... Collector's Edition?

Apparently Code Game will release this December and Collector's Edition of Prince of Persia that includes not only POP: SoT and POP: WW, but also....

The original game!

On disquette???

What in Offler's name?

This is just so weird...

Not only have disquette games been discontinued for ages, but most people don't even have floppy dirves anymore!

Since the games are on DVD, why not simply but it in there?

Then again, it is pretty sweet for us retro fans...

The Prince looks darker and angstier than ever on the cover though....

Wanna bet hundreds of kiddies will open the DVD case and say:

"What the hell is this flat thingie?!?!"

Yep there was a POP 3D, I have no idea why they only added this game and on disquette instead of on a DVD...

Unfortunately the company doesn't seem to have contact info and, it appears to exist as some sub company of Ubisoft Spain, so this offer might not exist anywhere else...

POP3D is the worst in the series. POP2 is very, very good, but extremely difficult, even with the save system. POP1 is a walk in the park compared to the sequel.

I have the original two "Prince of Persia" games on CD anyway...

Sometimes I love budget game-booklets...

I almost bought that pack about ten times a few years ago. And then I never did .

You know, I wish they'd announced this Collector's Edition DVD before I purchased Warrior Within on CD ...

A gaming magazine came with a minimagazine dedicated to games publisehd by CodeGame only, and they say the pack includes POP: SoT, PoP:WW, PoP 1 AND Pop 2!!!

What the??? Now it has Pop 2 as well?

Also, the magazine says it has been released, but the online stores don't have it yet!

I saw a special edition of PoP:the Two Thrones at a gamesshop in the Netherlands yesterday....
This edition contains the last 3 games on DVD-> POP: SoT, PoP:WW and PoP:TT...
No sign of the first 3 games though...

BTW:
The way that PoP:the Two Thrones is being labelled as PoP3 (even officially) really pisses me off... It's PoP6 for crying out loud!!!

Since they started over completely with Sands of Time, no, it's not POP 6. It's still POP 3.

It's like saying Batman Begins is Batman 5 since it's the fifth Batman movie made, but that makes no sense to me since it's a reboot of the franchise. Same with Prince of Persia.

You've got a point there...

Though Batman Begins is still Batman 5 (the Prequel) to me

Or perhaps it's Batman 3 to me because I like to pretend that "Batman & Robin" and "Batman Forever" never happened...

Man, did they ever screw up with this "special edition"...

They included the orginal Prince of Persia, but they didn't remove the copy protection and they didn't include the manual needed to get throught it!

Good thing I still have the original manual around...
