Which should I get - the Game Cube or the Playstation 2 version?

The Game Cube version sucks and isn't nearly as good as the PC version, but maybe the PS2 version is better.

They're all kind of bland. I really don't see the appeal of The Sims. I love building and furnishing houses, but everything else about the game is boring.

I have the GCN version, so I know that you shouldn't waste your money. The console versions are just rip-offs of the PC games, and have very little of the originals' appeal. They're not even made by the same team. Get the PC game.

Me neither, I can't understand how people get hooked on it. You spend all day working, cooking, cleaning etc, then you sit at a PC and make someone else do exactly the same. Take your time getting them promoted, buying nice things for them, then they set fire to themselves cooking and die. I played it for a couple of days, with Britney Spears and that wrestler Kane off of WWF living in the same house, then got bored.

Um, I don't think I'm quite addicted yet.
I do have a very stressful job, and sometimes it's nice to unwind with The Sims by venting my frustrations on their sad little world. I make them do awful, horrible things.

If by "awful things", you mean making your Sim disobey your every order and having it cry all the time because he has a low social rating that drops every minute/second. Oh, wait. You don't make them do that stuff.

I used to enjoy the Sims. I played it with the objective to build my dream house.

The Sims is the best game ever, because it keeps my girlfriend happy and interested in games Although it is pretty harsh on my wallet. Do they need an expansion every 6 months?
