I looked at the new gameplay videos for Tomb Raider: Legend on Gamespot yesterday, and I thought they looked amazing. They definitely had a sense of adventure to them, and it looked like an action game at the same time. The newly designed Lara Croft model looks gorgeous, and amazingly athletic. I was impressed that when she finishes climbing up to the top of a cliff, she does a handstand, and gracefully puts her feet on the ground, without falling from lack of balance.

The only Tomb Raider game that I've ever tried to play was Angel of Darkness, and I quit playing it after either 5 or 10 minutes. The Interface was awful, and it felt like I was playing a console game. However, I have watched the two Lara Croft movies that starred Angelina Jolie, although I'm not sure if that counts.

Overall, I was impressed with the gameplay videos, and I hope that the game will come to X-Box. All I can say is that it looks really cool so far.

And the 360 trailer looks amazing, although it will look a bit similar to the PC version (but you need a decent PC). I might get a Xbox 360 just for this game but then again the PC version looks more detailed control wise.

Release dates for Tomb Raider: Legend as confirmed this afternoon:

Europe: April 7th
North America: April 11th

These are the dates for the PS2/Xbox/PC versions. Xbox 360 and PSP will be later, apparently.

I pre-ordered HAlf Life 2, Farcry, Age of Empires, Unreal Tournament etc...
I do a lot of research into games before I pre order tham, heck I hardly buy any games at all, I have good instincts to what game is good and not. Besides Reviewers arent always accurate either.

Besides its Tomb Raider!! I'm a massive fan, have been since 1996. Got all 6 games in their original boxs, I got both movies, and a few posters. Would that be considered hardcore? The next thing on my list is to go to a nightclub dressed as Lara. Or not.

Believe me, you WILL get a lot of guys after you (and a few girls) if you ever do that.

Next time I get to do it, I want to show up at a lavish costume ball as #47, because I'm already bald. I just need a red silk tie to go with my black suit, a bar code on the back of my head, and two Hardballers.

Watched a gameplay trailer.

Didn't realise it will include some Dragon's Lair/Shenmue like quick action sequences.

Or Broken Sword 3.

It does look a bit interesting, this might really be the comeback of Lara, maybe.

Anyone watch the gameplay videos on gamespot? WOW. This looks really really good. Especially the realtime 3d water. Pretty cool looking.
