Buying New Computer Need Good Advice

hey to all of u who read this...

im buying a new computer and i need help choosing which one and what upgrades i should put and what screen option i should choose etc...

im not planning to use this computer as a work computer i want to use it as a gaming computer, i need somthing that can run big games that like counter strike source... i need a computer that will be fast and that will have a good video card and alot of GBs.

what i would use it for would mainly be for msn, counter strike source, half life 2, warcraft, to listen to music and to browse the internet.

another question is i would like to know if a 25ms flat screen is good for running all of the above programs. i would also like to know the diffrences between 25 ms screens, 20 ms screens and 16 ms screens...

thank you for reading this please answer if you know anything that could help me

If you're buying the PC for gaming, you'll need a 16ms response on the screen - anything above 17 and you'll see an afterglow of the image as the image changes in games, as the screen won't update quickly enough.

As for the hardware, get a 64-bit AMD processor. Graphics-wise, people tend to have their own preferences, but a PCI-express nVidia is probably the best available at the moment. And make sure that you get at least 1GB of RAM.

For high-quality sound, meanwhile, you'll want a Creative card.

If I were to buy a TFT monitor right now, I'd buy a 19" 12ms tft, like my friend did a month or two ago. It's not even that expensive anymore.
