Ankh Preview
Excellent Preview, Berian! This looks to be a fun game. While reading your preview, I was wondering if, since so many previous adv games have been set in Egypt, if there was any in-game reference to any of the others, or actual parody of one or more, perhaps as Easter Eggs, even. Was there any mention made of that at E3?

I don't remember anything specifically called out (but we only saw a very small bit of the game). But there was this kind of overall tongue-in-cheekness that was even funnier because of the role Egypt plays in so many adventure games. I'm not sure how much of that was explicit and how much I was projecting, but I definitely think the setting of Egypt made the whole scenario funnier than if it had been somewhere else.
I think this game will really appeal to LucasArts fans. It reminds me of the comic LA games, especially the dialogue trees (and this was even before the Telltale guys agreed to consult!) |

Thanks
I don't really know about parodies, but as Emily said, it all seems very tongue-in-cheek, so parody is very definitely the kind of thing they would do. Having something so comedic set somewhere that's usually so... uptight... is a cool idea. Let's hope they pull together a quality product. It's all looking very promising so far, anyway
