Default Fish Files review

Great debut article, Kim! Sounds like a cute game.

Out of curiosity, about how long is it? Comparable in length to a PC adventure?

I'm guessing about 8 hours, but I could be wrong.

I agree, though - great first piece, Kim! I am SO going to play this game now. All I need is a Game Boy and Fish Files.

I didn't phrase my question well. I don't really know what "eight hours" means (not being one who keeps track of my play time with a stopwatch). What I meant to ask is, did it *feel* much shorter than a PC game? Jack mentioned with the cell phone games that they're very short, but for the technology and the price that's to be expected. I'm wondering if you think the length of play time justifies the retail price (knowing the retail price is a moot point by now, anyway).

ps Nice save, eh?
ps2 Never mind, the review answers that question too. I'm going to crawl under a rock now.

You're mod - you could dispose of the evidence.

It just goes to show what a crack team of reviewers this site has when questions are already answered before they've even been asked. Woo!!

It's that time warp thing again -

like getting feedback in your mail on some document before - you even get a mail asking for that item.

Oops lost my thoughts here --

Great debut review Kim

Now I want to play this too - but ohhh..no source for game.

Anyone would think you didn't read the review (just kidding)

It's about right for a handheld game I reckon. I think it would have got really dull if they made it much longer. You can only take the theme of abducting goldfish so far

I have seen it occasionally on ebay for £7 brand new (roughly $12 I think, not the best conversion in the world).

I'm not a careful reader.

That price is not bad. Lower than I expected.

I really enjoyed your review Kim! My GBC has been gathering dust for years, but if I can get hold of a copy of the Fish Files I might just dig it out again

Subliminal message alert. Anyway, I'm off to buy a PS2. I don't know why exactly but I have a strange urge to go out and get one.

You can also find it at Playing Games Interactive in Florida - although their price is currently listed at $24.95.

The game was for sale in the Netherlands for 5 Euro a few weeks ago - in the bargainbin of a brick'n'mortar store called Intertoys. I'll go and see if I can still find any for anyone interested. No promises though, and p&p not included.

Mares, yes, it's a GameBoy Color game, not a GBA game.
