May I hijack this thread to post some avatars as well? Thank you.
Did I mention that I love LOOM? -

I added some of those as well. (Didn't want to use them all, or else we'd have far too many Loom avatars  )
Keep them coming! Make sure they're 70x70 pixels so that they're all the same size. I think the collection could still use some characters from more recent games. (Edit: I added some.) Last edited by Marek; 02-28-2005 at 06:32 AM. |

If you want I could resize the ones you chose to 70x70 pixels properly. I thought you needed 80x80, so I made them this size. Now they look a bit messed up (fuzzy) on the edges (especially Bishop Mandible and Chaos) EDIT: There you go. -

I had made my own resized versions because yours were flaring a bit at the places where the colours changed. (Sorry, I'm a perfectionist in some cases) No insult intended. You can leave them like that, or change them, if you want. I don't mind. Anyway, here are some more: I'm not sure if the second one will be any use. And I posted both of the avatars showing a portrait of a member of the Gordon Family because I don't know which one you would prefer. I like the first one. - P.S.: It's impossible to find a good Box shot of "Laura Bow II: The Dagger of Amon Ra". They are all slightly flaring. In the end it turned out okay, luckily.

I've never heard the term flaring. What is it?

I'll explain it with an example: This picture has flaring edges. This picture has no flaring edges. -

Ah, that. But that's just the result of how much jpeg compression you choose?

Actually, the top image (31.02 KB) is larger in filesize than the bottom one (28.55 KB). -

How about these ones? I included two of Rif. Dunno which people would like better, although I like the more detailed one myself.

And a few more. I don't really like how the Wood Ixupi turned out, but you may disagree.

All these look so great! I feel an urge to use one of them in the nearest future.
Also, Marek (or staff, anyway) apparently added a bunch of avatars not featured in this thread. There are 71 in total now, with White House, Bone, the hero of Fahrenheit and a couple of others that definitely weren't here before, so check them out. On a sad note, Larry Lovage is captioned as Larry Laffer!

Cool! I love the Dig. Maybe I'll use the bearded space chicken avatar.

I am so glad to see that someone else loves GK1 as much as I do.
