Profile Picture Size
This is a bit nitpicking and not really important: But I think the maximum size (the dimenson) allowed for profile pictures is too small.
It's hardly bigger than that for avatars - so where's the point in another thumbnail-sized image? |

I think they're trying to avoid server overload or something. Hmm - there's the AG photo album which hasn't been updated in ages, and you can also upload your picture to a free unofficial AGs server... now I wonder where the thread is...

Server Load
Quote:
How about not uploading it, but just storing the specified link to the picture? (In case the user specifes a link - and isn't uploading a picture directly from their harddrive.) And then allowing bigger dimensions for a linked picture... This way, the load would only occur on the server where the image is actually hosted. Anyway, it's just a minor thing. And I don't want to miss this opportunity to say that I don't only like the content of this forum, but also find the forum itself is (technically) the best I know. (But I'm not much of a forum-whore... yet. ) |

The term "forum-whore", too, can be understood in many ways.

Heh. I just wanted to remind everyone that we still prefer off-topic stuff to be posted in Chit Chat.

Nope, no complaints. I'm just reminded of 1 / 2 years back when threads in the adventure forum and the feedback forums were annoyingly littered with off-topic stuff. I'm not trying to destroy the fun here, but lately the number of off-topic posts in some of these threads have begun outnumbering the on-topic ones, and that makes things a bit unfocused. That's all.

Actually, just to set the record straight, there have been complaints made to me. So, um... yeah.
