Actually the Larry Laffer on that Computer Games Magazine cover probably has nothing to do with the actual game, because I can't believe that Sierra would have given concept art from the game to CGM.
So therefore I wouldn't add that picture as an actual LSL8 avatar, but rather as a Larry avatar in general.

Actually, since CGM was probably given the "exclusive" for this game, I don't see why they didn't supply the coverart. It happens all the time. Though you may still be right.

The Larry on the CGM cover just doesn't look "right" to me. Larry's eyes is blue and not black and they're round and not, what should I call them, diamond formed. And imo Larry has a bit to much hair, but that may just be me.
Of course Sierra might change Larry's appearance a bit, but I just don't understand why they would change the color of his eyes.
It was because of these changes (and possibly some more, I haven't checked the cover that closely) that I thought that the cover art wasn't from Sierra. But I might be wrong.

Well, yeah, but didn't Sierra fire anyone who WOULD have worked on the old Larry games anyway? It doesn't seem logical to assume that just because it's a different artist it's not Sierra art. And remember, the LSL7 Larry was pretty different from all the other ones; change of the magnitude you describe are relatively small compared to what he's gone through in the past. Anyway what with Sierra's recent attitude, there are probably MORE people at CGM than at Sierra who remember what Larry is supposed to look like.
