please explain forum filters

I made a post to thread "Which games did you finish in 2011?" (http://adventuregamers.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=30218) over 24h ago. I got auto-response that my post went to overview to admin or something like that.
Ok, that rises so many questions. Why? When or if at all will it be reviewed? There were nothing bad. Maybe you have explanation about filters but i couldnt find it nor know how to search about it.

i have no idea about the filtering policies, but i do see your post in that thread.

You probably used a keyword that triggered an anti-spam filter. For very new users (with single digit post counts) the forum is a lot more sensitive to certain keywords or posts with URLs, since new users are much more likely to be spammers. It definitely catches some ham, but for the most part it blocks a decent amount of spam.

Sorry it got you by mistake, but it looks like your post was already approved by mods.

I love that the opposite of "spam" is "ham." Just saying. :D

Especially since "spam" is short for "spiced ham"... :D
