The front page...

Isn't working, is it just me?

Dale Baldwin 05-03-2010 01:41 PM

The whole site, forums included, were briefly unavailable around the time you posted.

J.H 05-03-2010 05:31 PM

Ah okay cheers, front page is still down for me, must be my side.

Sorry, our datacenter had an outage with the transit provider between their Houston and Dallas datacenters that knocked the Houston center (where this server is located) offline. Twice :(

Helpfully, they didn't call, email, or follow any of the escalation procedures on file, so the first I heard about it was a friend at work asking if I'd heard The Planet was having an outage. Pretty excited about that.

J.H 05-05-2010 12:55 PM

Damn, that's not very helpful of them lol.

It's still down for me btw.

tabacco 05-05-2010 01:08 PM

I'm not sure that's something I can help with. It's all the same server, so it should be all or nothing.

What happens when you try to visit it? 'down' is a pretty broad term :)

I know it's weird that the forums is working for me.

Well when I type in adventuregamers.com the address eventually changes to
http://adventuregamers.com/index.php...d&login=failed

And I get this message

Have you tried clearing the cookies as the error message suggests?

J.H 05-06-2010 06:05 AM

Yeah and I'm still getting the same thing.

Dale Baldwin 05-06-2010 08:59 AM

That's curious then. When this happened before to ozzie, clearing cookies was enough to sort it out.

J.H 05-06-2010 12:51 PM

Ah ha! I only deleted the cookies for a week I needed to delete them all, it's fine now thanks :D
