Editing older posts/threads
Hey all - in fear of sounding quite dumb, I'm wondering if it's at all possible to work around the 'cannot edit older posts/threads' thing? I contacted Jackal panicked that there was some technical issue on my behalf, but it seems it's just the older posts that I can't edit, which apparently is normal.
Only problem is I need to get into my Underground Game thread and add in copyright info . Not that I think anyone is in a rush to steal my work, but my lecturer's aren't happy about it. Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help.

You should let your lecturers know that they should get updated on copyright law. Anything you create is automatically copyrighted, whether you put a copyright notice there or not. (And I very much doubt that anyone out to steal your stuff would be deterred by one.)
I suspect a moderator will come along and be able to help with your editing, though.

If you desperately need to change an old post then PM one of the moderators (such as myself) with details of the post and the changes needed. We have non-expiring edit priviliges.
This should very much be considered the exception though. The normal edit window should usually be enough.

@Trumgottist: yeah I thought so too, about the copyright business, but they still stress stamping images and whatnot with the standard 'c name year'. had some copyright lawyer-type people come in as guest speakers and that's what freaked out the lecturers i think.
