Did something happen to AG today, 2/11? For the better part of the day I was unable to access AG.

No pages all day, apart form the usual automated maintenance last night. Could be your ISP was having a routing or DNS issue. If it happens again, try pulling a tracert and posting it here when you can.

It wasn't an all-day outage, but it lasted about eight hours. I had access to all other sites, or at least those I visited, except AG. If it happens again, I'll do as you say.

Hmm, I definitely would have gotten a nagios page for an 8 hour outage (generally they turn up within a minute for http monitoring). The traceroute is the best tool because if it's happening within The Planet's network I can let them know and see about getting it resolved.

Did it stop working when you were in the middle of browsing, or was it the first request that failed?

I have the same issue, too. It happens every once in awhile for the first request.

Don't know if it means anything or has any relevans to this, but I find the site itself takes a very long time to load.
I suspect it's the ads though....
