Paragraphs in review comments?

Is there a reason why you cannot divide review comments into paragraphs (since it deletes line spaces)? Or am I just doing something wrong?
It makes long replies look like one long paragraph.

You can. (Your latest does.) The reply box itself just condenses the message, but it appears properly when approved.

(I'm a literature student so I'm constantly reminded about paragraphs etc.)
