Default Looking pretty snazzy

Great to see the AG forum back, and in style too.

Are the frying pan smilie etc on the 'to do' list still?

Wow, looking great!

I've missed the and the fryin' pan, but I'm even gladder to have my old avatar back! That Princess Leia thing just wasn't, I dunno, computer-geeky enough for a 37-year-old brunette with glasses!

Crunchy, the frying pan is there. Try clicking "show all smilies". Or just type : pan : without the spaces.

Woohoo, finally!

Very snazzy, indeed. Like the torch.

EDIT: Hmm, just realized that the banner for each forums have a map that contains the words 'Rennes le Chateau'...

You might find more places from adventure games on the site if you look very hard.

Nice touch with the maps; very classy. And it feels oh-so-good to have those familiar icons back.

The above illustrates my only icky bit of the forums: tweak the looks of the quotes, cause this is downright ugly, atleast I think it is... I want to see a more profound diifrence between quote and text, if it's possible...

How more 'profound' can you get than a black border?

Despite some moaning while on the temporary forums, I must admit these are the real deal, they do feel like home once again. Congratulations Marek and Co!

Yeah, like Marek said, the quote should be in a blockquoted table with a 1px black border in it. I don't think it can get much more seperated than that. Are you using a really old browser that doesn't support CSS?

No, the quotes in the old forum seemed far more separated .. I agree with ys. And yeah, I see what you describe.

Hmm... I don't know about your browser, but IE is rendering a good 3/4" between the bottom line of the quote box and the top of the text. And btw, all the old forum did was

text

. This one does the exact same thing, except it inserts a table inside the blockquote instead of using horizontal rules. Unless your browser has changed the way it renders a blockquote, it should be exactly the same distance.

And the old quotes were easier to read because of the bigger text, but on the other hand these quotes don't take as much room as the older ones so I don't really know if I like this new quoting system more or not. Time will tell...
