Default Quotable Thread lifetime?

The quote by fruithead has been in the 'Quotable Thread' balloon on the homepage for almost a month now. Shouldn't the 'Quotable Thread' balloon be refreshed regularly?

I've been wanting to change it but I think I'm too picky. (also with Halloween coming, I thought it was OK to have it up there a little while). I'll have a look around and see what I can find.

Edit: Changed. It's a bit challenging to find a quote sometimes. I like them to be able to stand on their own and not every post can do that (some posts taken out of context of the ongong discussion don't look right) and I like a bit of positivity as well.

Here in Europe Halloween is not as big as in America. But you picked a very quotable quote Melanie, thanks!

Halloween isn't all that bad, it's a good excuse to shout "get off my lawn" at small children.

While I empathize with your distaste for moronic behavior, I must say that I enjoy Halloween--it's very nice to be able to easily identify the crazies, and perhaps move among them as one of their own. Usually they are in disguise and overtly friendly to me. I am, as they say, an easy mark.

Here I am again... Steve Ince's quote has been on the home page for about one and a half month now. Isn't it time to replace his quote with a new one?

Please tell me when you are annoyed by my constant nagging!

I guess it's harder for mods to find interesting quotes than expected. We're discussing a different way of highlighting threads that won't be so dependent on finding a really nice short soundbite. But in the meantime ... you should definitely nag.
