Default Why?

Hate to say it but seems that im the only one who really dont like the new design So probably there is no chance of going back to good old one.
Im talking about home page design, which i liked so much. It was unique and it had everything well organised. This one is just too confusing and to be honest dont have originality the old one did. It looks to me like any other site i visit. Maybe this is a price of becoming a more popular and with more comercials?
Thumbs down......
And forum design i wont comment cause i wasnt using it too much anyway and i dont notice too much differences.

Is it me or does the site load slower than it used to? From the front page to the forums page, I'm definitely finding it takes longer.

The "Quotable Thread" "view thread" link below is broken.

The link on the front page works. But, I noticed when you hover over the hotlink on the forum page (and when you view the source code), it has a <? = thread # ?> at the end of the address, whereas on the front page it has t=thread # at the end.

I have a small problem with the 'thumbs up' function. When I 'thumb up' a blog post a text appears. Because the colour of the text is almost the same as the background, it's unreadable on both my laptop's- and my big iMac's screen, however.

Do you mean the text inside the green box saying 'You've given a thumbs up" ?

It's white-ish in the dark green box for me.

No, it's the text I get directly after I click on the thumb. It looks like this:

I highlighted the text in the picture above so you can read it. I use Firefox on the Mac, which handles the (rest of the) webpage well.

What kind of browser do you use? That text is supposed to be on top of the button, not below it.

That's funky. I get the same white-ish text on the green background as above. What browser are you using?

Edit: Beaten!

Sorry, I edited the post after I put the picture in because I wanted to see if the picture worked :-). Anyway, your questions are answered

Weird. I just tested in Camino (same engine as Firefox on the Mac) and it displayed correctly. It seems the font is slightly bigger than it should be in your screen capture though, which possibly pushes the text outside of its surrounding box. Would you happen to have changed your browser preferences to increase font size?

That could indeed be the case. Let me check what happens if I change the font size... Nope, that doesn't work. But it can still be that my minimum font size is still too large. I do have the "let pages choose their own font settings" option turned on, but I'm not sure if FF then still doesn't allow fonts smaller than the minimum size I put in.

I think if nobody else has this probem and you can't reproduce it, it can be contributed to my browser settings, and you can lean back and wallow in the satisfaction of the perfect implementation of a new fuction in the awesome new website.

By the way, why is my text different from Melanie's?

Edit: O, I see, you get the 'You've given a thumbs up' if you visit the same blog or review again.

Yep, the browse feature is now operational, although still not in its final form. Search filters to be revisited in future.

And the long... long... LONG, slow process of inputting all the game data for a thousand-plus games is ongoing.

Shouldn't you guys be working on CQ3 rather than categorising games?

EDIT: Completely unrelated question: Does the 10,000th forum member get a prize?
