Replying a bit late, but this is probably because Google ads use JavaScript to display, and pages don't display properly until all the JS elements are fully loaded (at least this is how I recall similar problems being explained before, by Doug, I believe). So blame Google!

Loading a page takes about a 100 seconds for me... every single click takes that long. But only when I'm logged in.

I've noticed that it takes a couple seconds or more for a forum page to appear whenever 'googlesyndication' is trying to load. What exactly is that?

That's the Google ads at the top the screen being loaded. And yeah, those delays happen more often than they should.

I turned off Adblock and loaded AG three times.
It took 5.2, 5.3 and 5.2s.
With Adblock on it took 2.6, 2.1 and 2.2s.
