Live(ish) from Leipzig

Thank you Adventure Treff, especially Jan and whoever translated the article. It's great to be able to read about the show... almost as good as being there. But wait - my feet don't hurt and I'm not starving to death at the end of a long day. It's even better than being there! :D

I'm looking forward to more reports from the show. :)

Unfortunately, Jan had to leave GC unexpectedly after day two, so further coverage may end up being late and abbreviated. :frown: But we'll still get whatever content we can out as soon as possible.

We'll also be running the translated versions of A-T's key previews out of GC (Simon 4, at the very least).

Thats nice of them :D. Shame she had to leave though.

By the way was there ever any info on wether Simon4 was full 3D or 2.5D?

Dale Baldwin 08-25-2006 08:22 AM

All the backgrounds are pre-rendered, as far as I'm aware, so 2.5D.

Jackal 08-25-2006 09:21 AM

To date, I'm still told it's 3D, so the jury's still out. Certainly the screenshots suggest 2.5D, but they probably aren't in-game pics at this stage so who knows. And sometimes PR people get things confused. Hopefully Treff's preview will settle the issue. :D

Jan's a guy, by the way. :)

Karmillo 08-25-2006 09:30 AM

Oh whoops :frusty:

DasJan 08-27-2006 09:32 AM

No problem. If you knew how Jack found out... ;)

Simon is 2.5D, prerendered backgrounds with realtime 3D characters. I'll write a preview soon.
