Default Last page link

On other forums I've used, the "last page" link for long threads automatically scrolls me down to the last post of the page, but that doesn't happen here. Is there a reason it's that way?

Why would you prefer it this way, if you don't mind me asking? Scrolling down to the last post doesn't feel like much of a burden to me.

Or - top time-saving tip coming up here! - pressing 'End' then Page Up on your keyboard.

Or use the last-post-read icon link. Why would you want to skip to the last post if you hadn't already read all the other posts anyway?

I was here forever before I finally realized what that little icon was for (to go to the last post). I was doing alot of unnecessary scrolling. Doh!

LOL!! Sheesh, Melsie, all you had to do was hover your cursor over it and a tiny window telling you what it does pops up.

I don't know if it really matters. It just feels weird when it does something I'm not used to. I didn't know about the new post icon, either, so I can use that.

For whatever reason, I didn't do the hover cursor thing. What can I say?

Yes, it should take you to the first post you haven't read yet rather than the last post of the thread.

Doug, I think he was actually asking about " Last Page" link, the one which leads to the last page (duh) in longer threads. It was only later that we hijacked the thread to talk about the "unread posts" thingy.

I still do (of course I don't flip through all the pages, I jump straight to the last page... Was that the button in question, or?).
