Okay, here're the official AG reviews of the Monkey Island quadrilogy:

1: Quite good, a lot funnier than any other adventure released up to that point
2: Much better than the first, arguable the best adventure ever
3: Also very good, but damn it, Ron Gilbert wasn't involved!
4: Hmm... A decent game in its own right, but it doesn't feel like Monkey Island.

Oh, and fov, ... a great article this was, but not the kind of feature I was talking about... I'm thinking more like interviews, history, reviews at the time etc...

I still don't see the point of reviewing something that has such a broad concensus already, but if there's really a demand I guess AG should do it.
I like to read reviews of games that I've played and loved, and I almost never read reviews of game I haven't played for fear of spoilers (Dreamfall being an exception, because I didn't know whether it wasmy kind of game), but I guess that I'm the exception, not the rule.

Which means that I'd love to read a MI review. Please?

Ninth,
me too... in the begging I didn't read the reviews of games I never played... but after reading one (about TLJ) and find out that there was no spoiler (about history, game) at all... I began to read it all

today, everygame, before I buy and play I read it first.

Here at adventuregamers, I didn't read any review with spoilers (without warning I mean)

I agree that AG reviews are usually spoiler-free, but even screenshots and reading about the story or puzzles is a kind of spoilerish in my book.

Pft, how dare you question JA+'s consistency? You only have to look at some of their A-rated games to see they're vastly superior to anything those LucasArts hacks could produce.

( Compare and contrast, btw.)

Anyway, enough cheap shots. I do think the absense of Monkey Island reviews is a glaring omission on this site. Yeah, we've already played them, but - given the demographics of 'new' adventure gamers - there will be lots of people who've never heard of them. For that reason alone, they need to be reviewed.

Yes, the laptop belonged stayed behind at my old job.

Everyone's points about MI reviews are well taken. You don't need to convince us. As Jack said many posts ago, AG will get to them someday.

Seriously? I would have taken it with me.

"Laptop? What's a laptop?"

Anyway, I liked the article you did better than some crappy review. It was more fun to read. And the pictures rocked. You look just like my older sister.

Let me guess, you're following the parental line of not giving the little children what they demand from you?

Still no Monkey Island, but suddenly I'm convinced these aren't the droids I'm looking for.

Well, great reviews there, and i DO agree with them! However i also agree with a majority of points made on this... such as:

1. some people will say "give it an A or im not happy"
2. some people will say "an A? its so overrated"
3. people that are new would like to read an in-depth review on all MI games whether they've played them OR not!! (such as me, hint hint)

but.. i think MI 2 is possibly up there with the best adventures of all time.. so maybe start with that? and maybe with someone writing the review that is not as biased as me...

heres what i suggest....

get someone who HASN'T played them (if that even exists) to play them 1 by 1 and review them 1 by 1 in between playing each game!!

and for gods sake make the reviews piss funny like the first 2 games are themselves!!!
