New staff, part two
SWOOSH!!
Good Lord, there's that sound again! The revolving door of staff changes is spinning again. Today, with great pleasure, I introduce two more members of the Joining the Underground writing staff is Luke Jensen, from the U.S. Luke is yet another self-avowed Sierra fan. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds his last name incredibly suspicious, but I've yet to prove a connection. (I'll keep you posted.) Luke's goal is to create a game of his own one day, so we figured working for us would be a great way to get used to merciless criticism. In the meantime, we can look forward to great things from the man cleverly concealed behind the forum name "Luke". And raring to become the Walter Cronkite of adventure gaming, Michael Kikuchi joins the AG news team. Another current U.S. resident but with roots in Japan, Michael promises to report news so fast it'll be up before it even happens. (Actually, he didn't promise that; I'm just putting some public pressure on him, because I'm like that.) You can find Michael translating, petitioning, and StarForce-testing his way around the forums as "nikoniko". If that name doesn't sound familiar, that's because he was "doroposo" until about five minutes ago. (I know, I know, what kind of outrageous new staffer demands a name change?! ... Oh, wait, so did I, back in the day. Never mind. ) Welcome to the team, you two! Looking forward to great things from you both. SWO... Oh, man, there it goes again. More later, apparently. (I gotta stop hiring people before we run out of italics.) -------- EDIT: Serious typo corrected. Apologies for originally referring to Michael as being one who "sleeps with ducks" (or something like that). |

Hi guys!
Hi guys!
In response to Jack's "suspicions," strangely enough, I do have an aunt named nothing other than (you guessed it!) Jane! However, she's on my mom's side of the family, so she's not, nor has she ever been, a Jensen. Sorry to burst your bubbles. In any case, I'm very happy to be here. Most likely, my first contribution to the site should be a review of "Spooks," rather soon. |

Leave it to the site's editor-in-chief to spell my name wrong.
That's okay, Jack, I fixed it for my news profile. My fault, really, as I forgot to correct you earlier. Hi everybody, As you can see, Jackal hired me to be the official AG spellchecker. (Olive ewe bed spalurz wotch owt!) First order of business is changing Kiku shi to Kiku chi. The distinction is important, as Kikuchi is Japanese for "the Walter Cronkite of adventure gaming", whereas Kikushi means... well, I won't repeat that here. I'll also be reporting news from time to time, whenever I'm not too busy changing its to it's, there to their, doroposo to nikoniko, and legos to LEGO® bricks. I invite you to become part of the news team with me. If you've got the scoop, I've got the ice cream cone, so let's put them together and make something yummy. Want to be involved on an even deeper level? Most of the time news happens without us, but some news will only happen with our support. (Sorry, couldn't resist. But while you're there, do it!) I'll be gone much of this weekend, meditating in preparation for my new responsibilities, but I'll see you folks soon with all the latest and greatest happenings in the world of adventure gaming. Cheers, nikoniko

Whoops.
At least I got it right where it's important. (Or maybe I didn't. Could have sworn I just cut and pasted from something. :shifty) |

Tactlessly understated

So, is anybody getting paid here or is the place still pro-bono?
